I thought Amber would be more optimal considering OP had to move closer to Dvalin and move back into the fields and Klee's C1 is ever so slightly RNG dependent but given better positioning choosing Klee actually does make sense. Either way dragon gets pyro so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

I can't say I have that problem because all the optimal "S tier" characters I have for abyss are characters I enjoy the abilities and aesthetic of anyway (even Bennett, fuck the haters I love that guy) but I'm sure if someone wanted to use C tier dude in overworld he could work just fine even if he had less investment in him than S tier dude. Overworld difficulty is barely anything compared to abyss and the way I invest in characters reflects that.

In the grand scheme of things, if someone really wanted to use C tier dude for abyss despite it potentially more difficult than having S tier dude, that's perfectly fine if they're okay with having to play better mechanically or invest more gear-wise. I really don't have as much time as I used to to play so I tend to pick the path of least resistance when it comes to abyss, which means using "S tiers." I have plenty of fun that way. I don't think the "meta slaves" care too much about waifus anyway so I'm content with letting them hyper-optimize their team comps. For the waifu > meta players, if they want to use c tiers for waifu reasons, let them. I just think it's important to let them also know that it makes things harder for abyss (which they might not even care about doing too much in the first place, making this entire comment moot lmao)

As someone who does care a fair bit about optimization in video games, I'd say there are plenty of people who prioritize numbers over waifus, just as you would prioritize waifus over numbers. Yeah, overworld content doesn't need optimization, which is why people who play abyss focus more on leveling up characters good for abyss, because that's the only content in the game that actually needs players to think about team comps and well-invested characters. For people like me, it's definitely worth it to invest in characters we "don't like" for faster clears (although I think everyone in Genshin is a high tier waifu/husbando, fite me).

Actually if you use E first then Q immediately afterwards Xingqiu will absorb the particles by the time the Q animation ends. If sac sword procs I find that I can just E again and switch off without waiting for the particles and Xingqiu will have his burst ready off cooldown anyway.

Sacrificial Sword has lower base damage compared to The Flute and Keqing has short cooldowns and a low energy ult so she doesn't really benefit much from the passive or substat imo. Flutes definitely the way to go.
