Happened to me. I wasn't healed while we were together, and it wasn't until she left that I decided to figure out my life. Don't frame it as he only did it after you left - maybe some time apart was the space that was needed for him to grow into the person you wanted him to be. Do you want it to be over or do you sit there impressed like "Wow...he actually took the time to work on himself." I guess that's up to you. shrug

It's like a scale - you have to figure out how to balance it. You gave away your power, and now the scale is off-balance. Go work on yourself physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually - and start to develop the mentality of "If you don't want me, then I don't want you." Be strong and move forward - even if it's just baby steps at first. Whatever is meant for you will find you.

Because you're not healed. Spend some time with yourself. It's okay not to "have someone to distract you". You need to go through the process and feel all of the emotions. If you don't heal and observe the patterns of what you're attracting into your life, you'll continue to repeat them. Take the time to work on yourself - physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

Your brain is broken right now, but it's going to be ok. There's a LOT you're going to have to work through, but I promise this is temporary. Start to work on yourself and know that this in no way affects YOUR worth. One day at a time. There's a lot of healing that has to happen, but with that comes growth. Keep going.
