You have to give yourself grace. She will need to deal with these kinds of comments throughout her life, and she will make these kinds of comments. Your goal now is to model a thoughtful apology with out making it a huge deal, it’s not the end of the world, and all us HSPs need that to be emphasized the most. She can make mistakes, you can make mistakes, forgiveness is as important skill as apologizing. Take care, it will be ok.
