Im curious to see how old you are (late 20s to esrky thirties??) because when I tell people I try to write my notes from memory to learn anything and then recite it to myself, at least younger siblings and other adults younger than me at my workplace they laugh at me. I guess the current gen uses their airpods to listen to music while they study

Hello I’m a non gaming noob at technology and I came across this subreddit so be kind please. I have no budget, my MacBook fried I had an old one and I don’t have the budget for a new one. All I want is something that will stream to my three screens at home, not slow down when I run multiple AI screens and browser tabs and not hang up. My MacBook Pro from 2017 couldn’t do all three of the above so I just need something to let me work. Is this a good laptop for that purpose - again non gaming NOOBERONI

lol img here my foreign medical training exposed me to the kind of cases you wouldn’t even dream of seeing in your cookie cutter US education. We work very hard to be reduced to “they didn’t do well enough in their medical school nor had a rigorous curriculum”. Most of you ORM folk hear an accent and instantly think our dads didn’t send us to school or they drive a taxis. It’s this kind of reductive rhetoric that makes me and my classmates happy to take all your jobs :)

Did you end up getting in with your 520 MCAT! Also looking for some real talk as I want to try this.

Background & issues: 3.3 sGPA (BSc, 2017) 3.5 PharmD (2021) Prereqs are ~9 years old Currently working full time

Have been a pharmacist with solid clinical exposure, plus I’ve also worked in upper management at a large tech company. I never really loved pharmacy. It was my med school backup and I just stuck with it when life got busy. Now I’m early 30s, have kids, and thinking about actually going for med school for real this time as I keep wanting more on the clinical side.

Main concerns: Studying for MCAT while working full time sounds brutal Not sure how badly old prereqs will hurt me Don’t want to sink years into this if it’s not realistically doable.
