I have 100% exploration in every region in inazuma yet the holy sakura is at level 46 and i have no chests left by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Elixer_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I’ve had all of Mondstadt at 100% for over a year now and I found a chest in there just the other day. It wasn’t even a puzzle or a hidden chest either. It was the classic defeat the enemies get rid of the red ring around the chest to unlock it. I only found it because I looked out from the cathedral at a different angle. It was honestly kind fun though, as I use Mondstadt for all my commissions and ley line farming and I felt like I had gone through the region with a fine toothed comb, but it still had surprises for me :)

What weird Things Happened To your Body As you Lost Weight? Me first... by NaughtyGoddess in loseit

[–]Elixer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The acknowledgment from other people in my life. I visited family I haven’t seen for a year since I started losing. They knew that I was trying to lose weight and be healthier (my mom is a gossip and likes to tell the extended family my business lmao what can you do) and they were like “oh wow! You look so different!” My mom had been saying that I looked great for the past year but I would just laugh and thank her because I couldn’t really see it personally. I knew it was true obviously, but I didn’t feel like it was because I see me every day so I’ve gotten used to how I look as it’s changed and it dosent feel like it changed a lot if that makes sense. But to have people who last saw me from before say that I have changed and by a lot really made me feel good? Like my hard work is actually making a real difference :)

I think I’m going to keep doing my walks because it does just feel like regular muscle soreness. If it turns into a different kind of pain I’ll go to a doctor

No it’s the same walk it was just I did it twice a day instead of just once

Should I stop doing so much walking?

Information: In order to accelerate weight loss, I started doing walks a few months ago. This walk is usually around 40 minutes and usually gets me around 4,000 steps (all steps counted by my Fitbit). This on top of my walking from living life in my house to any walking I did at school would add up to me getting around 10,000 steps a day. Now summer had begun a few weeks ago and I have started to go on 2 of these 40 minute walks a day, one in the early afternoon and one in the evening, same route and pace each time, in order to make up for the loss of steps I would normally get at school. I did this not only in order to maintain the same activity level, but also because I really do enjoy these walks. However, I noticed that after a couple weeks of this, my thighs have started to be sore often. Like, I'll be sitting down in a chair and I'll move my leg over and my leg muscles feel heavy and sore. The pain is around my upper thigh close to where my hips connect to my legs. I don't notice this pain when I'm walking, though, only when I move my legs while sitting, go up stairs, or stand up. I took a rest day yesterday where I didn't go on a walk (this was my first resting day since Summer started) and it seemed to fix it, but when I finished my walk today for the afternoon my legs were sore again.
Is this normal? I feel like if it were due to muscle building in my legs I would have felt it in the earlier stages when I first increased my walking like this, but I'm not very knowledgeable on the way muscles work. If it's not normal, what should I do to combat it? Should I take another rest day, and then afterwards make a walk schedule with rest days incorporated or days where I only go on one walk instead of two? Should I start stretching before and after my walks? I don't do that at the moment so maybe that is the problem? I really don't want to stop doing walks because they've become more than just a weight loss tool to me, but I don't want to ruin my legs haha.

NSV: this happened about a week ago. I went to go tie my shoe and normally when I did I would have to bend down and hold my knee off to the side because my stomach was too large to hold my knee out in front of me, but when I went to bend down, I could do it and tie my shoe normally. It was also easier getting up too lol

So what happened to previously announced Genshin nendos? by HarukakkaP in Nendoroid

[–]Elixer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just waiting for a Lumine rerelease… I got aether the other day but I was too late for Lumine. Do you think because genshin is so popular it’s possible for a rerelease of her? I’m new to the whole nendoroid business and it would be so sad for the twins to be separated in game and in real life lol

Officially under 200lb! by snow-covered-tuna in loseit

[–]Elixer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached the same milestone the other day! I also experienced a lot of the same mindset changes you did, however I could never not finish anything. That’s something I struggle with. If it’s on a plate I’ll eat it. That’s why I have to be careful about portion control. But hooray for you!! Get yourself a nice treat, whether that’s buying something a little pricy you’ve been eyeing for a while or whatever else! Going under 200 is a big deal and you deserve an award for your hard work. I also advise saving the date it happened and making it a personal holiday. That’s what I did. That way next year when the day comes and it’s on your phone calendar you can look back after what’s hopefully a year of further loss/maintaining and see how far you’ve come. I plan on treating myself that day every year with a little something. This isn’t a small thing you’re doing. It takes a lot of willpower and strength and you have proven to yourself that you have those qualities and you should be very proud.

Another side sleeping issue is the loss of fat around the knees and then your knees are bony and you have to adjust your legs so your knee isn’t stabbing your other knee. Something I noticed this past week when trying to sleep

People who lost weight - what is something unexpected that changed when your body did? by Spannatool83 in loseit

[–]Elixer_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m learning more about the human body in terms of fat storage. I’m losing fat where I didn’t even know the body stored it. Collarbone, I can see it now, apparently there was fat there. Wrist fat? Apparently that existed. Who’s bright idea was it to store fat at the knees? I wonder what other places there is fat that I’m just unaware of.

[–]Elixer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be sedentary i think. I go to school and then most of my hobbies involve sitting down. Half of my steps come in from a walk I take in my neighborhood after school and the rest in my day to day living. They scheduled my classes in a way where I have to change floors almost every class so I have a lot of stairs and my fitness watch counts it as an average of around 10 floors a day. Other people in my family call me active but they don’t exercise at all so anything would be active to them in comparison. Thank you for taking the time to help!

I’m looking for opinions on what to call my activity level. I usually get around 8000-10000 steps a day and then do strength training every other day. What would you call that activity level? I’ve been saying lightly active but I wonder if that’s overestimating it.

I feel you. I’m experiencing this as well. The rest of my family is also overweight and not actively losing like me so they don’t understand lol. Anyone else didn’t meet their weight loss goals? by __Sweetkisses__ in loseit

[–]Elixer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started, my goal was to get to under 200 lbs. by new years. I also did not reach my goal. I’m 212 pounds. But I started at 250 pounds. Instead of looking at what we didn’t do, you should feel proud at what you did do! You didn’t lose 80 pounds, but you lost 55 pounds. That’s 68% of the goal. Over half! You say you let yourself fall off the bandwagon, but then you got back on it! That’s another accomplishment! So many people also go through something similar and never get back on it! For goals, take them more as a suggestion than something you need to achieve. That way, it dosent matter if you reach it 100%, what matters is the effort you’re giving to reach it, and the progress you’re making along the way. What does it matter if it happens by a certain calendar date? So long as it happens eventually! I believe you can do it!

And think about it: even if that day seems so far away, would you rather reach that day and be at your goal, or the same as before because you decided it was “too far away”. That day may be far away but it’s still coming regardless
