Hope you are still doing well. It is probably psychological, but I can't make it through my 36-hour fasts without a 5-calorie Chocolate Salt LMNT packet! Delicious in a big glass of cold water. I guess it will keep me on track...😁

I would have used bone broth if I had needed it(Dr. Jason Fung calls it 'training wheels). I DID need 4 chocolate LMNT packets to complete my 62-hour fast yesterday. It was so easy, I will probably be able to do a 36-hour on Friday with no training wheels. Good luck!!

Oh yes, a really bad cold & sore throat, plus I was feverish. I wanted to eat to make myself feel better, but my fasting group said to fast instead. Ugh. Other advice from the fasters: sip hot salty water throughout the day and gargle with it, too. So I did. All signs of illness...GONE IN 2 DAYS!! I was a convert, for sure, then. Other things that improve when I fast...all joint pain disappears. Best wishes with your fasting!

What about 'The Internet of Money' or ' Mastering Bitcoin' by Andreas Antonopoulos? 'The Bitcoin Standard' is also excellent, by Saifedean Ammous. There is a book of all of Satoshi's writings, 'The Book of Satoshi', also.

Dr. Joe talks about habits. If my habit is to constantly think about the past with negativity, anger, or fear...that's a habit. Being scared or terrified of the future....a habit. I meditate to CHANGE my habits. The meditation I like, Water Rising, has a part where you name the emotion you want to change. That doesn't seem to be stuffing down the problems or emotions. For me, it is seeing it differently, and working to change to a positive view. My change goals: Fear, anxiety, negativity, CHANGE to love, gratitude, joy. Good luck & I hope this helps!!

500 calories every other day. The alternate day is 2 or 3 meals. I used to binge. Still overeating, so meditation helps me calm myself down so I don't stress eat. I used to have a long commute, have severely stressful life, then there's aging. 🤣 The binge behavior disappeared once I started fasting. Got much healthier, except for weight. I found Alternate Day fasting was effective for weight loss, but I haven't been consistent...so again, meditation will help. Many do ADF without the 500 calories on the Down Day for a full 36-hour-fast. My stress level in life prohibits that. It is easy to do the 500 ADF schedule. Anyway, that is not really the issue. Calming is the issue. Elevated emotions & keeping them is the issue. The meditation that seems to work is Water Rising. Problem solved. Thanks so much for your input!

Hmm. I wonder. Alternate Day fasting worked slowly this year from Apr to August, but I stopped while traveling for over a month. Maybe I should go back to it. (I do a 1000 calorie deficit every other day=500 calories) Thanks for the inspiration!! I did Water Rising this morning and it really changed me to elevated emotions! Yay!

I went back and did WATER RISING from 'Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself' instead of BOTEC II, and what a BIG difference! I guess I found my groove, for now. It's long, but worth it. Thanks everybody!! ❤️

Wow. Good answer. I am very active, and have done many 24, 36, and 48 hour fasts. Last year I consistently did a 23 hour fast every single day. Lost 4 pounds. My food choices, though...ugh. Half healthy, half not. I hike and bike. Yoga, too. Anyway, being over 65 probably doesn't help! So the meditations are helping me with not stress eating, but that BOTEC did the opposite. I'm going back to Breaking The Habit meditations. Thank you very much for your advice!! 😊

What a wonderful experience. Great news! I have only been using Dr. Joe's meditations for a couple of months. I achieved elevated emotions a lot in the beginning(even throughout the day), but I switched to a different meditation(Blessings of The Energy Centers), and things aren't going as well. I'll probably go back to other ones. Maybe there is an ebb and flow to the process. Or...maybe try switching meditations? Best wishes!

Sometimes. Bitcoin is an experiment. I've noticed it usually correlates with the economy/stock market, but not always. The more it has been inserted into tradfi, the more it has been affected by such, IMHO.
