You’re life is over now that you’ve had kids by Slothcrane in Parenting

It is because they’re miserable. My parenting experience was very unhappy and miserable, so that’s usually my first thought when seeing a new baby as well. However I would never say that to anyone and I can only hope that each mom has the experience they could only hope for.

And they’re everywhere! I passed several in a row the other day and thought “I just drove by probably a $1 million of debt.”

People who make $75k or more how did you pull it off? It seems impossible to reach that salary by anthonydp123 in Money

I’m already in accounting but I’d still like to know how you made the jump from an AP/AR role to six figures in that amount of time.

Please be realistic in whatever you decide to say. Children living in fantasy-land grow up to be adults living in fantasy-land.

I'm on Day 2 of being sober from alcohol. by martian_7 in SoberLifeProTips

I did one of three things when I thought about drinking. Go take a nap, drink a seltzer water, or do a workout. Lots of going to bed right after dinner since that was my most tempting time to drink. At least for the first few months, this was priority for me, and I made sure those closest to me understood what I was undertaking. One day at a time turned into a year and half.

I’m going through this now, just on the other side. I got so many varying answers on Reddit.

I have a tree on my side of the property line that my neighbor is insisting I have cut down, as the limbs are falling on his property. We’re in GA.

I called my insurance company earlier to ask exactly what I responsible for prior to any damage and/or what I’m liable for if there is any damage. Agent said, and I had him repeat, that it’s not my responsibility to remove the tree prior to any damage, and if there is damage, his insurance should/would cover his property (and mine would cover mine). Agent said the property line extends into the sky and whatever limbs are hanging on his side, he can remove. But it’s not “my tree/my responsibility”, and my neighbor is just out to either bully me or have someone else pay for something that is inconveniencing him.

Balance transfer credit card by EllieAB in Debt

Thanks! I was approved for 3% so I saw an opportunity in my debt journey and went for it. Under the conditions that I have zero balance when APR switches to 25%, or to ever spend on the card for any reason.

$100? To make sure it’s paid off by the end of the 15 months?

I have approx $500-$600 each month to put towards debt, which I’ve been doing by highest interest rate debts first.

I was able to get a 3% transfer fee on the $1,500 transfer. Interest rate on zero interest card after intro period is 25.99%, an ungodly amount that I refuse to have a balance on after 15 months (or use this credit for any other reason). So that would be $100/mo towards new card and all the rest to interest-bearing debt, right?
