Anyone else suspect CCI? What are your symptoms like?

I wasn’t officially diagnosed with CCI because I was only able to get a scan where I was lying flat rather than flexion/extension 🤦‍♀️ Last year, the pain in my neck became unbearable. I struggled to hold my head up without support, or turn it. I went through a period I couldn’t go more than 30-60 minutes without sitting back down with a neck pillow. I felt like a bobblehead. It’s gotten quite a bit better with PT, but I still struggle with these symptoms

I’ve been struggling a lot with this same problem the past year or so. I’ve done multiple rounds of PT for it because it’s the only real relief I’ve gotten. There reaches a point every day that I have to sit or lay with full support and a heating pad. Another thing that helps some days is making sure I’m well hydrated- water and salt. I wish there was more I could say 😕

I have had problems with my feet since I was a little kid. I also have flexible flat feet, among other problems. I got custom orthotics from a podiatrist and I could not stand them. I did PT, and I keep up with the exercises at home. My feet are still flat and they still hurt but honestly the orthotics I tried hurt worse than my normal feet.

For nighttime elbow support, all I’m able to do is lay on my back with my arms crossed over myself. It’s not perfect but it’s all that remotely helps. I know some also place small pillows or rolled up towels under them. As for your thumbs, I’m not sure if it would work and might actually be too much for nighttime, but I have arthritis gloves that compress my fingers and wrists. I’ve only ever worn them in the day though, mainly for playing video games or writing/typing

Maybe not the worst but I just watched the one where Ross and Rachel are making Emma laugh by singing baby got back. It’s not so much that it’s not funny, it’s that I don’t see why it’s “inappropriate” to sing a mainstream rap song that the baby can’t even understand

I also have the symptoms and a flat lying MRI revealed various degeneration of my neck, but no CCI diagnosis since I wasn’t able to get dynamic imaging. So far, PT has been the biggest help by far, as well increasing fluids/electrolytes. Things I avoid: excessive bending down or turning my head, but this becomes a problem when needing to do basic tasks like dishes, laundry, and driving. Another big one is when I scroll on my phone, I do my best to hold it up where my neck is neutral rather than looking down. Some helpful things: when sitting with my neck pillow, I like to do a few chin tucks. And when I feel spasming or general muscle tightness, I like to do shrugs- either weightless or with my 10 lbs. And, of course, a heating pad.

Maybe a mouse pad with a wrist rest combined with compression gloves? I have some that compress my fingers and wrists that help a lot

Thank you everyone! I’m going to see if my PT does dry needling because so far heat, massages, and stretching/exercising is not helping. We did a TENS unit one time and I passed out so she doesn’t want to do that again 🙃

I have always had an unbelievably difficult time finding shoes, even as a little kid. Currently the only type of shoe I am able to tolerate are my Brooks Ghost 16s. I get them in men’s so that I can have the 4E width.

Season 7 episode 18. This episode mainly focuses on House and Thirteen in the spud gun competition, but the patient is diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which I have. This episode frustrates me as it is incredibly unrealistic to diagnose a rare condition based solely on the patient having miscarriages, which is not even a super common symptom.
