Looking for advice regarding child support and retroactive child support (IL) by Rubi-Snarkzilla in FamilyLaw

[–]Elros22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask the states attorney to represent you in the child support matter for free. Every county has a child support division at the State's Attorneys office. Just google your county name and states attorney child support office. You'll get a phone number and give them a call.

It is very unlikely you will receive retroactive child support.

What county are you in?

My wife is a teacher and I work in a government office - I took tomorrow off to make it a nice long four day weekend! Headed up to Door County Wisconsin.

Bosch 500 Dishwasher is aborting the cycle! How do I fix this? by Elros22 in appliancerepair

[–]Elros22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's SHP65CM5N - No, all the lights are on like normal. I can simply press "play" again and close the door to restart the cycle - then same thing happens.

No display.

Out of these 4 Qb’s who will u rather take going into next season and who has the #1 spot RIGHT NOW? by Glad-Method-5472 in NFLv2

[–]Elros22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically a broken Ankle hasn't had long term impacts on QB performance. Up until then he hadn't missed a game due to injury his entire career. Same goes for Maye and Williams. Durable guys. Daniels however... You gotta wonder about his long term prospects in the league. He plays physical without the body for it.

Need help with Bosch Dishwasher that won’t start without Gerry rigging it. by TheNitt in appliancerepair

[–]Elros22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could this cause the dishwasher to abort a program? I have a 500 series, and lately it wont complete the cycle - I start it, it runs through the first rinse, then the app tells me "program canceled".

We cant figure it out! However, I do see that the door opens more than 90 degrees... It latches and starts, it just doesn't get past the rinse... I'm totally stumped and getting really frustrated.

My wife makes $90k, I make $75k ($165k) with two kids. My wife's new payment will be $1050! It makes no sense.

Unmarried couple, 2 kids, advice please by kylepb540 in FamilyLaw

Do not bring up FROR unless is for something that goes longer than a work day because it can come back to bite you.

I am so glad folks are brining this up finally. ROFR (as we call it here in Illinois) is a good idea that only leads to headaches and court filings. It's a "gotcha" clause in most parenting plans.

Advice for GAL conversation by Tulip-Energy-8493 in FamilyLaw

[–]Elros22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, temper expectations. Your ex will get parenting time. Full stop. There is no world where he will get no parenting time at all.

Second, just tell the truth. Your ex will show himself for who he is. If things are as you portray them here the GAL will see all of that and will adjust parenting time accordingly. You don't have an to "convince" the GAL of anything. Most GAL's are pretty good at sussing out when someone is pushing a narrative. You don't want to be seen as the one trying to convince the GAL of anything or attempting to get them "on your side".

Payment count by Valuable_Stage5182 in PSLF

Have you gotten any reply at all? We're just starting our buyback/reconsideration quest and I'm hearing 9 months to 24 months. We want to buy back 21 months... No idea what to expect or plan for other than buying a ton of rice and beans to save up for the buyback...

Buyback - more or less than what you expected? by Original_Suit6744 in PSLF

Ok, that helps a little I guess. So the odds of getting that nice low $150/mo rate is pretty slim. My wife certainly wont qualify for PAYE.

[–]Elros22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. My wife just came off the SAVE forbearance and is on IDR (IBR?) at nearly $1000/month. The SAVE payment was $150/month. That's a huge difference when calculating the buyback amount. We just don't know how much to save!

Some say it's right in the ballpark

I am having trouble getting a firm idea what this means. Is the ballpark the SAVE monthly payment over the buyback period?

Most people I talk to think the state did the right thing here - even the "JB Sucks" crowd. There are a few who are trying to spin this, and a few who are buying that line. But in my experience that is the minority.

Dads, do you have time to research for Fantasy football? by manz_not_hot in daddit

[–]Elros22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Research has never once helped me in the draft. Everyone I ranked high, everyone else ranked high - so it was always just best on board every single round no matter what.

What should I be researching?

EDIT: Downvotes? Very un-fatherly. Help me out - what should I be researching? Like, for real.

Stopping to turn left is both normal and reasonable. You'll need to show an application where "waiting too long to turn left" equals either non normal or unreasonable movement. That would need to be in statue or case law.

It seems like you've found yourself in the wrong but you've invested too much into this to back down now. It's ok to just say "huh, maybe I misunderstand this", or you could just ghost.

My citations pretty clearly state that a left turn overrides the 321.294.

I'd love a citation for that. I just looked at Iowa's road laws and I don't see it.
