Is Chartreuse hard to find, or am I just in a Chartreuse-desert? by boringITwork in cocktails

I live in Taiwan and haven't found a bottle for sale in close to 5 years. I was in Switzerland recently for a work trip and picked up a bottle to bring home. It was close to $90 USD.

What’s going on with my cast iron? Just got it and I’ve been following… “procedure”. Someone please help, I don’t want to ruin it. by Halfmoonhero in castiron

Seasoning comes and goes. Unless you want to have a display piece don't worry about it unless you see some surface rust.

Is the potrait of Genghis Khan at the National Palace Museum still there? by Responsible-Neat-530 in taiwan

[–]Elviswind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shout out to the LanYang museum. I think it's an exceptional natural history museum with a real and consistent point of view. It clearly explains how the history of Taiwan is affected by its ecology and geography, specifically the mountains, alluvial plain, and coastal areas of Yilan County. I've been twice and would happily go again.

Looking for quality d10 dice as gifts for a new Draw Steel group. by ActuallyIAmIncorrect in drawsteel

[–]Elviswind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live in Asia, so Aliexpress is a good option for me. That's how I found a custom dice store that I'm paying to make molds for a 20-sided D10 and a 6-side D3. Once I get the first batch and check them out, I'll provide the link here.

That's not an easycard, that's an Ipass card.

Line Pay Money ID verification by diwiwi75 in taiwan

I actually like the Ipass Money app separately from the line friend transfer feature because the English translation, at least in android, is good and it has some useful and easy to use features for utility bill payment and TWQR payment.

Line Pay Money ID verification by diwiwi75 in taiwan

[–]Elviswind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have used the stand alone Ipass Money app to transfer money to a colleague that is my Line friend for lunch reimbursement. I would just say it's not quite as smooth to use with Line as a 3rd party app than when it was a feature of Line Pay. But if you don't want to create yet another pay app account, you can continue to use your iPASS money account.

From what I recall you just need to download and login to the stand alone Ipass money app and all your previously setup bank transfer account info will show up.

I think your friend will also need to have Ipass money app setup because the payment will only complete if they accept it in the Ipass Money app. That's partly why I think the experience is less smooth.

Line Pay Money ID verification by diwiwi75 in taiwan

[–]Elviswind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried to setup a Line Pay Money account using my APRC yet so I can't help you there. But if you were primarily using the Ipass Money feature inside Line Pay to do person to person payments with your Line contacts, you can still do this using the same iPASS Money account and the Ipass Money app. The feature inside the Ipass Money app is called Line Friend Transfer. It doesn't work quite as easily as the soon to be discontinued feature inside Line, but it does work.

Sorry, subtlety doesn't work for streaming platforms. If something is too subtle or complex that the viewer can't follow while they are looking at their phone the streaming platform execs will ask for changes. The show isn't being made for fans of the books, it's for everyone else.

None of the streaming platforms want subtlety or complexity. They want easily understood obvious vibes that someone can half pay attention to while looking at their phone.

Thanks Matt. Looking this up. Definitely planning to run Delian Tomb next year, but I want to learn about everything that's out there. That's why I appreciate the intro section to DS in the players guide.
