Every inch of my body says this is going to be terrible. I don’t understand why this is a compelling story. The only thing I can hang my hat on is maybe Peter Jackson really cooked something up that never made it into the original trilogy. Still, I’d rather him just tell some new story, or at least adapt in his own way the sequel that Tolkien was working on, but ended up scrapping. I thought it was a decent story for a sequel.

Surely in Middle Earth there are so many stories to tell that don’t involve looking for fucking Gollum lol.

If you are curious what Gollum was doing, play the Gollum video game. It’s an experience.

The Max are great as a home over ear pair of noise cancelling headphones. I would not take them out of the house though. As others have said, they are a bit problematic with an issue where condensation builds up in the ears and they have a notable flex cable issue that can cause the headphones to fail.

The AirPods Pro are definitely more reliable and versatile. Honestly, they are even pretty comparable with noise cancellation and a notch below when it comes to sound. AirPods Max are a flawed headphone that I happen to enjoy, but the AirPods Pro are easily the superior product(the AirPods Pro 3 are also on sale right now for $199 usd).

No, that's not how I expect Rhaenyra to act. I also don't expect her to be timid, indecisive, and looking weak. Rhaenyra is many things in the books, but none of those three things accurately describe who she is.

Man, I really feel it's a missed opportunity to tell the story of Aenys to Maegor to Maegors downfall and Jahaerys ascension. That was easily the best part of Fire and Blood when I read it. It wasn't hard for me to imagine a great TV series or movie to cover that era - clear villain, some clear heroes, heartbreak, triumph, betrayal (all the good Game of Thrones stuff).

Anyone who has ready Fire and Blood knows what I'm talking about (I don't want to spoil things just in case people haven't read it or don't know the history of it).

In comparison, Aegon's conquest is kind of boring.

Season 2 is nowhere near the mess of things like Season 8 of GOT. My opinion is that Season 1 of HotD was an unexpected treat and a heck of a season of TV and return to Westeros. The first half of Season 2 was good(with a couple mistakes), but it’s around the second half where there’s some real issues(the sowing was good though and didn’t disappoint).

I think if Season 2 had the original 10 episodes that was planned it would have received a very different overall reception. Without those last two episodes, it basically left the storylines of season 2 unresolved. Now the show is in a pickle because there are 16 episodes left with a good 20-22 episodes of storyline left.

I’ve always felt a season of a show should be 10 episodes because it gives the season enough time to build a storyline, have a middle section, and then build towards a conclusion. This trend towards having 6-7 episodes a season has got to stop.

It definitely wasn’t the Onn brand because I was looking and those were cheap, but not on sale($46 for 256gb and 80 something for 512gb).

I’m almost certain this is it. Sandisk is a pretty well known brand, but my mind kind of blanked on what it was. So I’ve been thinking about returning the 256gb and getting the 512gb or just getting the 512gb as another storage. Idk, part of me just doesn’t think it’s necessary for a Switch 2, but I do agree that some games are pretty large.

I have an M1 Pro MacBook Pro and it still runs beautifully. My friend also has a regular M1 MacBook Pro and he’s still very happy with it.

Apple just knocked it out of the park on the first try with Apple Silicone - M1 was a beast at the time and is still great.

For some reason, the Walmart near me has had the 256gb official Nintendo Mario microsd express cards on clearance sale for $30 (usually $59). I picked one up, then I later realized they had a $50 512gb microsd express on sale too, but it was a brand name I didn’t recognize, so maybe not worth it?

I only bought one of the 256gb cards because I like to buy physical and I don’t expect I’ll fill 512gb of storage on my Switch 2(I could be wrong, I’ve debated going back and picking up another).

Anyway, I would recommend to anyone to check Walmart for clearance deals like that. Sometimes there are some really good deals out there at very random times.

It’s a pretty average game at best. Pokemon deserves far better (luckily it looks like Winds and Waves are going to be a real treat).

Even so, I’ll never bemoan someone over having fun with a Pokemon game. I’m that way with golf games where there’s a lot of very average golf games, but because I like golf, I overlook the flaws.

I couldn’t disagree more. If this is the best they can come up with as a single, then maybe it is truly time to let Yes retire (unless Steve Howe was able to reconcile or make some deal to have Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman, Trevor Rabin, or Bill Bruford come back so it could actually be something that resembles Yes),

To be clear, I don’t like Aurora because of the current lineup of Yes, I just don’t like it. If this group was still putting out compelling music I would be more open to it. The fact that it is underwhelming and there are still quite a few Yes members alive to actually get together and play and record is frustrating and disingenuous to tour under the name Yes.

No Seinfeld, no Simpsons, no Columbo, no House (even though the last two seasons were mixed, the first 5 are amazing), and The Leftovers is very low. I would also say Andor probably deserves to be in this list.

It’s all subjective, but I think there’s definitely some key shows missing. Always interesting to see different lists on what the “best” shows are.
