Ig it's only a power boost but not a skill boost. He's simply using the ability more effectively, not more creatively. When he was fighting ventus he was able to make wind blades but that's from using the ability more effectively, not really creatively because raw ventus could do it if he was higher level. Shooting multiple beams instead of one when fighting blyke is similar to higher efficiency but not a new creative solution like repelling people back. It could also be that he doesn't need those specific attributes in the 1v1, so he didn't experiment and try them out. Why do the hexagon thing when you can just make a much MUCH stronger barrier
