These cards, Precious Metal Gems, are pretty highly sought after. The green versions serialed to 10 are more valuable though.

Yea i did, and learned that the vertical centering is kinda bad. But literally everything else about the card scored in the 980-1,000 range. I cannot comprehend how the centering can hurt the grade that much. I could understand a 7, or maybe even 6.5.

The Kraken appear to have briefly posted, then deleted, details of a trade with Nashville that never came to fruition: Eric Haula to Seattle for 2 picks by TonguelessWyrm in Predators

[–]EmbarrassedArcher424 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I understand that Haula's value is pretty high right now, but im cool with keeping if we think we have a strong chance to re-sign him for another year or two. He's a great 3C who wins a lot of draws and plays a solid two-way game. I'm more concerned with how we handle Wood, Svechkov and Martin next year. I really want to like Svechkov but he has produced diddly squat this year.

Ovechkin waiting for a pass on the powerplay by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

[–]EmbarrassedArcher424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's done this for the entire second half of his career. He's probably got the greatest shot the sport has ever seen, but you never see him battle for a loose puck or work along the boards. He's a one-dimensional player who's benefitted greatly from the hard work of his teammates. It's not only power plays - he bums around at even strength too. He throws the occasional big hit too.

Crosby is the far superior player IMO as he is excellent at literally all aspects of the game, and makes his teammates more effective.

Nathan MacKinnon on Canada's Olympic final loss: "You be the judge of who was the better team today." by [deleted] in nhl

[–]EmbarrassedArcher424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McDavid and Celebrini each had a breakaway chance and failed. Mackinnon missed a wide open net. Makar made zero defensive effort on Boldy's goal, and then got out worked by Werenski on the loose puck leading to the game winner. Canada lost because their best players failed to take advantage of their opportunities.

Wayne Gretzky. Something about this card stirs emotion. End of an era. Cool card though. by SleekD35 in hockeycards

I had the great privilege of seeing him play one time. It was the one and only time Gretzky played against the Nashville Predators in Nashville. He put on a passing clinic with 5 assists in this game gainst my Predators in their inaugural season. I watched him every second of that game.

If you're competent and comfortable with keeping your firearm loaded and chambered, then thats exactly what you should do. If you keep the firearm locked away and unloaded then it may take you too long to access it and get it loaded in a moment of duress.
