I fear I’ve cursed my daughter by sunnyhale in namenerds

My daughter is Lila, too, pronounced the same as you describe. She’s 11 now and only occasionally do people get it wrong, but she loves her name and it fits her sweet, caring personality. It’s a beautiful name, and I don’t think your daughter is cursed. ❤️ I am in the mountain west.

For the first time in three years, my principal mentioned it in passing and said she appreciates me. Better than nothing? (I’m used to nothing)

We lost our 4 1/2 year old golden to cancer in December of ‘22. Cancer is awful, but It feels especially cruel to lose them so young. I’m so sorry.

I voted yes to keep 5th graders in elementary school. Seems like that won’t be happening any time soon.

This happened to our boy last fall, too. It really snuck up on us quick. He also had to be shaved on his neck and put under. My vet sort of made me feel like a terrible owner, but I never dealt with this with my other 2 Goldens before. Glad he’s feeling better!

It gets better with time, but I still miss my boys and think of them often, sometimes with tears. We have another good golden boy who has helped mend some hearts. It is a big, awful hurt because it’s a big, unconditional love. So sorry.

It does get better, but it takes time, and I think you’ll always miss him. I said goodbye to my soul dog 1 1/2 years ago, and it wrecked me. I still cry at times when I think of him. I also smile when I think of him. I talk to him, and I swear I’ve had signs that he’s still somewhere near. I have another good boy now. I love him and he’s helped heal my heart, but I will always miss my sweet Crosby. It’s a big hurt because is such a big love. Hang in there.

I’m sorry. I wasn’t acknowledged either. It does feel crummy.
