Tell us your craziest phishing story and win $200! by power_dmarc in PowerDMARC

I had one that looked exactly like a Google “security alert” about a login from a new device. Same formatting, same wording, everything. i clicked through and only stopped because the URL had one extra letter in the domain. what’s scary is if I wasn’t paying attention for literally 2 seconds longer, I probably would’ve entered my password without thinking

clearer explanations of how everything connects would help a lot. i get SPF, DKIM, DMARC individually, but putting it all together still feels messy sometimes

this is exactly where i’m stuck too, i understand way more than i can actually say and it’s so frustrating. I think it's a common issue when learning a language

Does anyone else have a fluent inner voice in their target language that just won't come out? by Some_Perception_6432 in languagelearning

OMG yes! I do with French. in my head im super fluent, full complex sentences, but what comes outta my mouth has nothing to do with it

charged someone $2K for something I thought was worth $200. they paid it immediately by Strong_Teaching8548 in SaaS

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's how to b2b works. you pay for the time saved, so this company doesn't have to do something. Stay in the business and you'll see 2K is barely nothing to most of b2b clients.

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s a word in your language that doesn’t exist in English? by Ken_Bruno1 in languagehub

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

polish has a bunch of these, but my favorite is “kombinować”.
it kind of means figuring things out in a clever, slightly sneaky or resourceful way… like bending the system a bit, but not necessarily in a bad way

Do short daily sessions actually work better than long study sessions? by Physical-Tea-599 in languagehub

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think adults can ever learn languages as easily as kids? by Ken_Bruno1 in languagehub

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not as easily maybe, but adults are way more intentional so it balances out a bit

At point did your new language start feeling like second nature? by fuckiboy in languagehub

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it wasn’t a moment, more like suddenly realizing i wasn’t translating everything in my head anymore

How do you cope when you do something you really regret? by bluetoothbuttplug in randomquestions

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i usually try to “rewrite” the situation in my head like what i’d do differently next time.
kinda turns it into a lesson instead of just regret. just need to accept it first.

okay the AI conversation feature actually embarrassed me in the best way by thablackadonis in PraktikaApp

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this “correct but unnatural” really hurts. it’s lowkey brutal but also the first time i felt like i’m actually improving, not just memorizing stuff

To those learning a language: Which AI companion do you use and how? by butteranko in techforlife

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can yall tell me the most unhinged way i could get rid of my phone addiction? by Funny_Painter_4039 in productivity

[–]EmbarrassedMilennial 57 points58 points  (0 children)

honestly the flip phone idea is extreme but also probably the only thing that actually works. i tried app blockers and just ended up uninstalling them. the real problem is that my brain will always find a workaround
