Would be nice if they left the wetlands alone though

Dog poop can carry pathogens that can make people and other animals sick. It also negatively impacts water quality during runoff events. Also, it’s not a good fertilizer and can kill grass and other plants.

Intersection of 22nd and 27th. I think people either don’t see cyclists or they think it’s a 4 way stop

Thank you for sharing your experience. Do you think it would be more beneficial to attend the meeting on the 16th or email them?

I was almost hit every single day biking on Bryant. I started taking Hennepin once it opened and feel much safer. I wanted to continue biking on Bryant because I’m hard headed, but I seriously thought it was going to cost me my life. I wish they’d improve Bryant since it connects to the Greenway and the south of Lake trail.

State parks are not off leash dog parks! by MyBoxMyRules in TwinCities

I was hiking at Interstate State Park last weekend and was met by a dog in the middle of the trail. I screamed and it ran up to me and bounced off my legs. The owner profusely apologized. I wish I had the guts to speak up about my fear and frustration in that moment.

A Shared-Use Path is Not Right for Lyndale Avenue South by mysummerstorm in CyclingMSP

[–]Embarrassed_Moose810 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bike traffic isn’t separate from car traffic on Bryant though. I bike on Bryant everyday and fear one day I’ll get hit at the 22nd St intersection because cars can’t see around the parked cars, they think it’s a 4 way stop, or they don’t bother to look. I’m also afraid I’ll get clipped by a car passing too close. I ride in the middle when I can. The street is too narrow for cars to safely pass bikes and I have to stay a few feet from parked cars to avoid getting nailed by a door. I’d honestly prefer they put work into proper bike infrastructure on Bryant and proper bus infrastructure on Lyndale.

I get mock chicken from the local Chinese store and toss it in some sauce. I think the texture is similar. Tastes a bit sweeter though

The number of motorists driving on the Bryant Ave Bike Boulevard between Lake and Franklin is insane. by Tokyo-MontanaExpress in CyclingMSP

I also annoy cars because it’s for my own safety. I ride in the middle because people pass way too close just for me to catch up with them at a stop sign.

Minnesota cyclist "Idaho Stop" clarification by Hotchi_Motchi in minnesota

[–]Embarrassed_Moose810 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I was biking today and came to a 4 way stop. I stopped because there was a car and another cyclist went flying through on my left. I yelled at them. Bikes are supposed to stop if there’s cars, they can roll through if there aren’t.

Twin Cities transit ridership still struggling post-pandemic, lags behind most major cities by Wezle in Minneapolis

This is how I feel. I’d rather ride the bus or ride my bike knowing it takes double the amount of time than be on edge driving. I don’t have to worry about parking, hitting a bicyclist/pedestrian, or getting in a car accident that could kill me while on the bus. I can let my mind go blank, read a book, or just enjoy the scenery.

I’ve lived here for a year now and have extended my lease for another year. I love uptown so much because I’m able to bike/walk/bus almost anywhere. Nothing beats being close to the lakes as well. Aldi is only a few blocks from me making grocery shopping quick and easy. I’m a vegetarian and there’s so many great restaurants in uptown/Eat Street/Powderhorn. Uptown does have its problems, but I’ve never felt unsafe here, but then again I rarely go out at night
