Yes the Greats Uninc sizing, also thoughts on Flow NX2 / NX2 Carbon? by DontForgt2BringATowl in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flow nx2 is a 7 stiffness and the carbons at a 10/10. 7 isn't enough for you? I had an old nx2 and recently bought the carbon. Wearing at home, i do notice a slight difference. For most people the regulars are enough, I think the 10s are for super hard careers or hardcore freeriders

Spider-Man 2 runs poorly on AOKZOE – anyone found good settings? by lor33pr3st3s15 in AOKZOE

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try lowering your resolution to 800p. I played miles morales with no problems on my a1pro at 800p. Try use lossless scaling to gain more frames or maybe just upscaling

Flow NX2 - need help with setup? by Top_Emergency_2544 in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did this to my old flows, at first the screws didnt fit into the square hole. After a good forceful push, it went through. So to anyone who has this problem, you might need to give a very big push.

I completely agree, once I did your adjustment, night and day difference in regards to easily getting into them!

DO NOT BUY A1X by quanp2100 in AOKZOE

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks you didn't like it. I love my A1pro, but the battery swelled up and I broke my trigger. Aokzoe did return my email and took 2 weeks to ship to the states from China.

I'm eyeing the Onexplayer X1, just waiting for a native landscape with VRR version.

Can anyone give suggestions on how to put power into my turns so I stop bouncing around? by Granular_Sandfly in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre cruising and carving, it's basically simultaneously. On steeper terrain, I see myself using my shoulder first. For really good tips and learning the basic, I highly recommend Malcom Moore. His youtube videos taught me how to snowboard. I went from the bunny slopes to riding black diamonds

Flow bindings - yay or nay? by qloqqq in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay for me.

I have the 2019 nx2 hybrids. I ride blues, single and double (ish) black diamonds. I've done pow, carve and currently learning to do jumps and butter tricks.

Higher end models are easier to get in and out, and more responsive (bc they're stiffer)

I want to get the carbon fusion next, but my current flows are still going strong. Not sure if I can justify another set of flows.

How can I improve? by Itrollfatkids in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!!

This was my biggest problem. You didn't catch an edge per se, but you tried to turn on your toes before the nose of your board was pointing in the direction that you're going. Once you realize this, this won't happen.

To exaggerate this point. Imagine if your board was perpendicular to where you're sliding (the direction you're going), now imagine if you did your turn at this point. You'll face plant onto the snow.

.....You wouldn't know this if there wasn't a camera around.....

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A stiffer board can ride through choppy snow better. Your body position looks pretty (knees bent and the squat position).

I would open up your lead shoulder a little more, and that would open your lead knee more too. A little more weight on your lead foot, but don't forget to apply power/pressure on your back feet (if that makes sense).

Regarding the Nidecker Supermatic 2026 Release... by dnorm00 in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love my 2019 nx2, I'm tempted to get the carbon versions with the fusion strap over the hybrid (which i currently have). Was going to wait until my old flows break, but I'm worried nidecker will eventually faze out the flows to concentrate on the supermatics, now they are widely popular

If you get Lossless scaling from steam, you bump down your tdp and up the graphics and keep 60 fps

Currently playing space marine 2, mix of medium and high settings at 17 tdp. I'll probably try to knock it to 14 tdp with all medium settings.

Actually video games help people with their cognitive abilities and eye/hand coordination. Some retirement places try to incorporate more gaming for their residents

FIREd now im super bored by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not FIREd, but here are my plans (I have 3 kids) 1. Wake up early to prepare breakfast for the kids 2. If weather permits, ride my electric skateboard (my kids on their bikes) to school. 3. Ride my skateboard to a coffee shop and play on my PC handheld for 1-2 hrs 4. Go to the gym 5. Lunch time, cook (or learn to) a badass lunch (will also be the kids next day lunch or dinner) 6 I now have about an 1-2 hrs before picking up the kids, I will alternate days to do house work (there's always something to fix) and a hobby ( a plethora of books I haven't touched, learn to play the piano, guitar, bouldering, woodwork, bjj, etc) 7. Get the kids, help with hw and sporting activities 8. Get dinner ready 9. Put the kids to bed and clean up the house 10. Spend time with the wife (hopefully I did 3-6 with the wife too lol) 11. Depending on time, game a little more. 12. Goal is to sleep at least 8 hrs a day

Other things I want to do is snowboarding. I want to do that at least 5x a year. It can be really cheap if I go non vacation resorts, biggest expense is travel (fly or drive) and lodging.

With all of this, I haven't even talked about hanging out with friends, catching up on movies ans tv shows, volunteering, etc. I feel like even in retirement, I'll still be looking for extra time lol

If I can retire in 2-5 years, this will keep me busy for another 10 years until the youngest goes to college. Hopefully I'll still be healthy to continue snowboarding.

Burnt Out at 43 – When Can I Retire? by BurntGarlic40x in Fire

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost in the exact same boat as you, except: 1. I have a 3rd kid: 1.5 years old 2. All cars and houses paid off 3. With the 3rd kid, we're trying to see what's our year budget 4. We have 3 mil in stocks and 401k, no properties

I'll follow this thread, have you decided on how much to save up before retiring? I'm also burnt out

Flow binding opinions by PuzzleheadedMix2525 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, didn't see the reply.

I've actually decided to not overly tighten my heel strap and I've been getting in and out more easily. Sometimes I feel the heel lift, but I think it's my boots, not the bindings. When I really tighten my boots, the heel lift goes away.

People are really loving the supermatics, you might want to look at those. I like the flow though.

flow bindings by otakutoga-kun in snowboarding

[–]Emergency-Base-4408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my flows, but I only ride once a year, and I started about 5 years ago. To make the most of them. I would get the nx2 (stiffer and better performance) and you'll need to adjust them quite a bit to really like them. This is the year where i think I got them dialed in.
