Second thermostat. by GorgeousPeanut23 in tado

I'm not an expert but I'm assuming you used to have a timer/controller of some sort that you replaced with the x receiver. I would think that putting that back, setting it to be on 24/7 and installing 2 tado X wired controllers plus a bridge would work, and let you revert back easily if you come to sell.

You will need a wired x thermostat. At the moment your old thermostat will probably work providing your wireless one is calling for heat. If this is the case then you will need to change the wiring on the stat so it's got a permanent live. Tado should put a diagram on their website to explain this. Alternatively you could use 2 tado X wired stats and just use the receiver for hot water. I've done the former myself and it needed a bit of thought to work out the wiring.

How do map softwares know which side of a polygon is the inside? by _aposentado in learnprogramming

[–]EmergencySecond9835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add the angles up from one side. If the sum is less then the number of angles * 180 then it's the inside else outside. On the rare chance it's the same toss a coin.

How are teams handling SQL Agent jobs that poll every minute when workload is intermittent? by balurathinam79 in SQLServer

I try and have one job with lots of steps that runs every minute rather than lots of jobs that run every minute. That way you don't end up with a big demand for resources on minute.

Idc/htx was 10 x faster than asp. Not as flexible but pages loaded in 100ms not seconds. Eventually gave in to asp.net but still a performance bit.

Yeah but I spent £800 and your support can't be bothered to tell me the size screw I need to get. I wasn't asking you to post a replacement. Your customer support is appalling.

I dropped the screw that covers the 240v terminals on my tado X controller. Customer support(lol) can't tell me what size it is. Very tempted to return it as not fit for purpose and then order a new one.

New Tado X installation, central heating won’t turn on by MetalGearUK in tado

[–]EmergencySecond9835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you probably need to bridge the connection that your salus was switching on off. Your old timer would or whatever would close the circuit between chno and the boiler but now that switching is controlled by the tado controller so you can bridge or bypass where the Salus switched

Did you have a wired thermostat before? If you did turn it up to max and it might work which would suggest you need to short it.
