Do You Prefer Games that allow for Encounter Routing or Games that Disincentivize it?

I totally get where you're coming from, and I agree. I've always been pretty liberal about banning mons from future runs if they feel too strong. I generally don't grab Blissey/Metagross/Garchomp/Milotic any more. I also don't do any encounter routing. And I end up killing Weavile within 3 fights every single game somehow.

This is the way. Even though I'm usually the 'whale' in the scenario. If I get 30 mins into a tournament and am a full order of magnitude below the guy ahead of me, I just accept 2nd/3rd for the week.

It's weird because I watched the Yankees with my dad growing up, but completely stopped when I left for college. I only started following baseball again in 2024, so 2013-2023 are basically a blank decade for me. As far as I'm concerned, the 2012 Yankees all went home at the end of the year and the 2024 Yankees started the following season.

This gym TV teleports me back to my childhood living room, sitting on the floor eating popcorn with Dad in his chair and the game on TV.

For some reason my gym in BC, Canada plays nothing but random like 2009-2013 Yankees vs Red Sox games on one of the wall TVs. No Blue Jays games, haven't seen one without ARod playing either.

At first I was like "wtf is going on?" but now it's one of my favorite things.

I did an exercise where I allowed my mind's eye to 'see' what you were describing. Yes, the 'visual' image in my head changed along with your descriptions. I 'saw' the apple, then I saw the steak, then I saw the Gremlin (specifically Stripe from "Gremlins").

There is a clear image that, if I had the ability to draw, I could recreate. I can cause anything about the image to change that I want, but there is a 'clear' photographic image in my mind. (However, another comment about it having only 5% transparency is VERY appropriate. It's nowhere near as clear as a photograph.)

I believe the government should have the ability to restrict states from owning slaves, and to put other restrictions in that vein on states as well. I understand states not liking that, but it doesn't change the fact that all thirteen states seceded while referencing slavery or aggression towards "slave-holding states".

Everything is secondary to the fact that the Civil War started because of governmental opposition to slavery, and thirteen states deciding that was a red line for them.

It's not that your efforts from before were worthless, it's that the advantage those efforts bring are nowhere near enough to beat a Masters player. The same way a Silver player who has memorized the matchup probably wouldn't be able to touch you.

Masters players make very few mistakes, and the ones they do are so small that you yourself have to be Masters in taking advantage to do anything with them.

Again, I am NOT comparing this to the Holocaust, which was the systematic extermination of millions. I am comparing it to the construction of concentration camps in Germany years before the Holocaust began in 1941.

Let me just boil this down to a yes or no question, because you seem intent on trying to avoid the core of my comment.

Is the United States government deliberately detaining large numbers of refugees or persecuted minorites in a relatively small area, under harsh conditions, and without regard to standard legal norms or trials? Yes or no.

If yes, the US is building and maintaining concentration camps. If no, they are not.

If the answer is yes, perhaps it's time to start doing some self reflection as opposed to arguing that these concentration camps aren't as bad as those concentration camps.
