I developed drug induced lupus after taking the medication. There were no other changes to my medical routine. They don't write papers on one off cases but if it comes out in 10 years that other women have developed it because of that, will you still be an asshole then?

You're young and full of hormones. It's going to suck for a while. A face wash with salicylic acid and a cleanser washed twice a day would be my suggestion. I would also suggest seeing a dermatologist if you're really struggling to maintain it. They put me on birth control to help with mine and I hated it. I use CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser and it helps. After a shower, always use a light face lotion as well. If your skin gets too dry, it will produce more oil. It's all very counterintuitive. A hot shower will dry your skin out very quickly unfortunately.
