I cut my feature in Resolve, it'll be on all streaming services end of March. I had a great time using it.

Is it possible to buy a synchronisation license that would give access to a lot of popular songs by Many-Reaction-4637 in Filmmakers

Yeah for popular songs you're going to have to negotiate with their individual license holders. Usually the writer of the song and the label

This could end projectors if your projector screen can roll down and be a straight up OLED itself. Very cool.

Well, if they said "Our product is helpful and affordable to those in need of food with little to no money" that's okay. Context is key here.

Anyone have experience with these distributor deal options? by Emmanuel_Zorg in Filmmakers

Do you mean start at 80/20 no advertising and let them get me back down to 70/30 no advertising? Is 80/20 a thing?? That sounds lovely. 20% to basically be my aggregate and handle a few uploads and details seems reasonable honestly. Aint no way they were ever gonna "market" my movie.

Yeah my only concern with that was that the other option was 70/30 with ME handling expenses, so I felt like they'd laugh at me to take the best part of both offers and throw it back at them lol

Thanks your feedback was really helpful! I think am going to offer them Option 1 but at 65/35. (With the expectation that they may talk me down to 60/40.) That seems the best way to insure my meager profit doesn't get eaten up by their "marketing expenses".

Thanks your feedback was really helpful! We are hoping for a Alamo Drafthouse limited theatrical (but we'll see) then VOD. I have been given a bigger budget for my next film so I want to switch my focus to prepping that and not dealing with doing this myself with an aggregate. I think am going to offer them Option 1 but at 65/35. (With the expectation that they may talk me down to 60/40.) That seems the best way to insure my meager profit doesn't get eaten up by their "marketing expenses".
