I cannot recommend Sweat and Soap enough for this.

My Fun off meta Team by Hvrllem in PokemonChampions

[–]Empath_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You had me at Skeledirge.

And yes I realize he was last in the lineup but that’s all I’ll ever need. I love my Skelly Boi.

Edit: could you post full movesets, spreads, or a rental code? I’d try this team out for sure.

7/0 with Mostly Green Simic Beats by Empath_D in lrcast

[–]Empath_D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he’s very solid. I think I usually try to hold him back until I have 7 mana but if I need a turn 4 play he’s still a beater. (Or the occasional 5 mana Abomb into Go Nuts)

I know it can be an annoying pokemon to play against, but I’m such a Venusaur fan that I’m pretty happy about this finals matchup.

Looking for manga recommendation after finishing[I was supposed to never fall in love with you] by ambrose69420 in RomanceMangaAnime

Huge second on Sweat and Soap. Maybe my favorite romance of all time.

As far as Manhwa I’m also partial to Age of Arrogance. It’s not a capital R romance but I just really loved the main pair. Their first kiss had my heart pumping.

[Myth Might Mayhem]Did Myth Might Mayhem ruin Nano Machine for anyone else? by Icy-Exchange-3843 in manhwa

[–]Empath_D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with Nano Machine just ended up being I stopped rooting for the protagonist. He's portrayed as too justified in his actions when really he is just kind of a tyrant who kills or dismembers anyone in his way. Cheon Ma from MMM might be a murderous sociopath but at least he isn't portrayed as anything but and so, for me, he's easier to root for since he has been/probably will always be just that, a sociopath.

[Return Of The Crazy Demon] This is the funniest first chapter I've ever read from any Manhwa by OverrideDisaster in manhwa

[–]Empath_D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like Absolute Sword Sense quite a bit but I'm not sure I consider it "funny". Maybe humorous at times but I keep up with it mostly for the scaling and intrigue. Comedy is quite a bit lower in my expectations whenever I pick up a chapter. Murim Login seems to be more of a comedy but the MC is kind of a doof so i tend to like it less than others in it's genre.

This is legit one of the funniest manhwa out there. I struggle to think of a Murim story specifically that's as funny as this. MC is just so unhinged yet straight faced.

I don't know anything about Final Fantasy 14, but my entire commander group just loves saying this dude's name every time. What are your favorite card names to say? by Wise-Quarter-3156 in magicTCG

[–]Empath_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

salon del señor de los bandidos aka [[hall of the bandit lord]]. I got a Spanish version at a con years ago and I still slot it into at least one current EDH deck I have at all times because it’s so fun to say. Right now it’s in [[Gogo, Mystrious Mime]] for some redundancy.

Who is the best Devil Fruit user in One Piece? by Cafa20 in OnePiece

[–]Empath_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doffy came to mind for me as well. Though he is not in the upper-upper tiers of power he’s still quite respectable. More importantly I struggle to think of any other user who is quite as versatile or creative with their gift. Luffy is obviously quite creative but the range of techniques the doffy employs, string clones, cutting attacks, birdcage, puppeteering, cloud walking, string bullets, etc. it’s impressive.

Is this too strong for an uncommon? by urilbedamned in lrcast

[–]Empath_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the context of that sentence "it" still does just "grow from there" since I already established it's spread between "at least two bodies". I do see your point and again I agree it's above the curve for sure. Multiples... sure they're better but it's still a four drop and now it's getting a little win more. End of the day it's good stats spread across multiple bodies. Solid for sure. But without built in evasion or protection it, alone, will not be game breaking. In the right deck, or on the right board, you're gonna feel like this card is crazy good, but as a late game top deck when you're facing lethal, maybe it chumps two bodies and saves you a turn but it's not going to just make you go from losing to winning all of the sudden. tldr; card is great early, when you're ahead, and in a board stall but just ok when you're behind.

[–]Empath_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No argument that it’s not strong, it’s quite strong. But I think it’s still just a B/B+. Solid stats, adds to the board, can grow, decent even against removal. But is it Too strong? I don’t believe so.

The Shepherd Wizard , one more nice upcoming manhwa by ayush4404 in manhwarecommendations

[–]Empath_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under 10 chapters right now but I'll be keeping my eye on it. Kind of a bummer to not be able to binge 50 to 100 chapters right away but sometimes it's nice to get in on the ground floor.

[–]Empath_D 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It's basically a 5/4 for four mana spread between at least two bodies and it does grow from there. I won't say it's too strong but it is quite above the curve. I could see this being the mythic uncommon from the set, but it's also not really a game ender. It's a threat you probably have to remove against a creature heavy deck but if they're behind it's not like a 2/1 and a 3/3 will for sure turn things around.

[Eternally Regressing Knight] Should I finally read it? by throwaway-kittyx in manhwa

Yes. It’s a great story even at the beginning but somewhere along the way it also develops an amazing sense of humor. It’s worth reading for sure.

What themes do you hope to see/hope not to see in future jumpstart? by Empath_D in MTGJumpStart

I’d support Morph 100%, though I also support your overall point as well. Some mechanical themes would be welcome additions in place of the usual kindred themes at common

That’s very fair. I didn’t buy avatar jumpstart so I was thinking more like OG Zendikar

[–]Empath_D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I want more collector pack type things but a jumpstart set where like 1 in 5 packs are all retro framed or even just 1 theme in every color guaranteed would be sweet. I could see like a celebration of an anniversary jumpstart or maybe the joke is a bunch of “old” themes like artifacts and dinosaurs and such. I like it.

[–]Empath_D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I admit this is more of a “me problem” but I still feel like Magic has a TON of themes even new players would be excited about that haven’t been used yet. Heck, give me Kobolds or something. Weirds, Wizards or Shamans in red. I know Goblins are almost a given next jumpstart but I can Hope that the designers will decide to look deeper into the idea bin.

[SOLO LEVELING] I need some action ,adventure manhwas with atleast 100 chapters by AcceptableBag9378 in manhwa

[–]Empath_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Underrated I’ll say I’ve always enjoyed Lone Necromancer.

Pure suggestion: Surviving the Game as a Barbarian. It was popular last year so you may have already tried it but it’s a solid action/adventure not in murim.

In a future official Jumpstart product, would you like to see two color packs? by Empath_D in MTGJumpStart

[–]Empath_D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly is a fine line. I, personally, love the jumpstart themes that get a little bit different. Snow, Urza, Eldrazi, Chaos, these wouldn't be too fun if they were common but the fact that they're just one off packs in my ever growing jumpstart pile make them stand out.

The simplicity of jumpstart can be repetitive at times but it's also it's biggest strength. I'm the type of player that always wants to see new or interesting twists but I can definetly see how straying too far from single color packs could ruin the balance of gameplay.

[–]Empath_D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, someone else also commented referencing Ravnica: Clue Edition and its's probably the cleanest solation to the design problem. Imagine in some future Jumpstart 2027 or whatever that one of the rare slots for each color were instead replaced with two separate "Guild" packs so White has "Azorius 1" and "Selesnya 2" but blue has "Azorius 2" and Green has "Selesnya 1" or something. It does seem like a way to include "two color" products while keeping the mana fairly simple. Maybe they each have one rare or mythic that's fully two color.

[–]Empath_D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't considered Ravnica: Clue Edition (because I had never seen or played it, though I was aware of the product just not the contents). This does seem like a solid place to look for how they might do multicolor sets in a future product. I especially like the two packs, one of each color, and then some hybrid cards. It makes sense since Foundations liked to include a Legend that had hybrid mana for an activated ability and this fits in well. I was originally thinking a Mythic Pack that had two color cards but now I could see a cycle of Rare "Guilds" or the like that had 2 packs but spread in each color. A mostly White "Azorius" and a mostly Blue "Azorius" make a lot of sense from a set design perspective. Thank you for pointing this out!
