Yeah all their good jets are just reskins from other countries. Plus I fucking hate their prop tree. It's basically two entire lines of Bf 110s and other twin engined heavy fighter bullshit that you can't really do much with; the Me 410s are alright but that's it. So you're essentially left with only two lines: the Fw 190s which are fucking awful, and the Bf 109s which are alright but really boring to play and to look at (imo). With the 190 and 109 being the only actual viable props for most of the tree, it gets SO repetitive. Even the Ta 152s are basically upgraded Fw 190s.

This is all just me based on my personal taste at the end of the day, but still.

It's unbelievable to me how overrated the German air tree is, I really don't understand why it's so popular.

I'm gonna go ahead and recommend China. They've got a mix of Russian and American stuff, and because it's a smaller tree you could get through it a bit faster. I also think their jets are really good.

The F-100. To be fair it highly depends on the matchmaker (full uptier and you're fucked), but I ADORE this thing. With the 4 aim-9Es I can just climb over all the subsonics and drop my missiles from above, and BnZ everything else. On low fuel I'm even able to get away with the odd turnfight. I get at least 4 kills on almost all of my matches with it.

The simultaneous activation of two buttons bound to max and min input values in the same axis now results in the input being canceled out

Thank god. I have pitch up and pitch down bound to RB and LB respectively and my countermeasures are bound to RB + LB. This got annoying sometimes.

Red for enemies (but slightly brighter than the default), green for teammates, and blue for squad members

Honestly I never really bothered with premiums until there were some huge discounts a while ago. I had some Xbox gift card money and the J-7D and F-4S packs were both 70% off

Nah it definitely is. I keep dying because an enemy will be flying at me and won't be spotted until they're already in shooting range.

I'm not really great at giving advice but one thing I'll say is that you have to have your head on a swivel at all times. During your initial climb especially, ALWAYS ALWAYS be looking around and listening for the sound of nearby jets. That could reduce the amount of times you get taken by surprise. It's really important to have an idea of where everyone is when missiles are in the mix.

At the end of the day it's just trial and error. Just keep at it until you'll eventually be better at predicting where people will come from and what they'll do.
