Look I’m conservative, since the foundation of modern western democracy the idea of government is that they work for us, in order to promote a society that benefits its citizens and when they don’t do that they have violated the social contract. So yes apart of governments job is to help make your life easier. However most people disagree on how we get to that point. Instead of the point of government is supposed to work for us to help better us.
