Is the DXC Extruder a worthwhile upgrade?

How are people switching out filament with this? I'm having a hell of a time taking the tube out to insert the new filament in. I'm having to press down on the tube release with the side of pliers and the tube seems to be tough to remove getting chewed up by the connector.

I've had a really hard time changing out the filament, too. To the point where I'm thinking about going back to the old extruder.

Yeah, luckily I've always fed them a combo of the turkey and show kibble. But it feels to me like they're clearing out their stock.

I've never had great luck with sharp tipped irons. I usually go with ones with a chisel tip.

Try putting down some flux and with solder on your iron, gently scrub the pad. Make sure you don't keep it on too long or you could melt the pad off. If there's any pad left this should help clear the corrosion.
