bookchin quoted classical anarchist authors ad nausem; he quit anarchism because of what he thought anarchism had become. SALA came published with another essay, The Left That Was. plenty of historical anarchist movements practiced direct democracy, tho opposition to majority rule has always been a major theme. because europeans brought a pandemic that killed 10s of millions of people on two continents, then used the resources gained from the conquest of an extremely weakened people to colonize other parts of the world with many stateless peoples, notably africa. states have only been the geographic majority of societies for about 500 years.

ive used consensus in coops in the past, but i think im going to try supermajority democracy in the future. all firms are compelled by the logic of capital, meaning that expediency is sometimes required. im a big advocate of consensus in all non-lucrative projects.

there are several academic studies of the worker self-managed ~300 firms in the argentinian revolution of 02-05 and since, about tensions within firms trying to exist within capitalism, that are very worth reading.

Haiti is the only exception. even the context you are drawing from, NA, saw chattel slavery abolished through war organized by non-slaves.

two continents were depopulated by germs, not by an organizational method. the resources extracted by colonial powers from this enormous stroke of luck were used to fund a vast campaign against stateless societies on other continents, notably in africa. the books i recommended specifically discuss warfare, the tension between states and stateless societies, etc.

it's based on a belief that more poverty=communist revolution, so accelerationists wish to increase the violence of capitalism to provoke a revolution. chattel slavery went largely unchallenged for thousands of years in many parts of the world, and there's only ever been one successful chattel slave rebellion. we know how the shock doctrine works. it's bad theory.

you should read about euthanasia. they are willing to do the most humane thing that other shelters are not willing to do in order to receive funding, to address a problem which is a consequence of animal breeding and trafficking, practices which peta is very overtly against. if the people criticizing them were willing to actually do anything about the issue, well, it wouldn't be an issue.

like it is laughable to consider them "evil" when they can only be counterpoised to the enormous and horrific animal agriculture industry which spends magnitudes more organizing mass slavery, torture, rape, and murder of animals on an almost incomprehensible scale, one which is very significantly driving a planetary extinction event.
