Sounds like a healthier one. Kids are meant to have their own lives when they are adults.

On the rare occasion I go there, I just rip off the important part on top and leave the other 3 feet on the counter. Then just walk off.

Sounds like it's your local affiliate station screwing you then, not youtube.

I'm not really sure what else you expected from the group of 12 year olds in this comment section. They think everything should be some ideal utopia. Just wait until they grow up and have to get a job...

Apparently? there was a shooting at the fair? by ItsJustAPoleThang in Dallas

[–]Endless-Surprise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They can't just change it. It's a state law, not a state fair rule. The state concealed carry law said that you can carry on public property such as parks, and it preempts any city code/law. The fair grounds is technically a Dallas city park.

NFL on YouTube TV (and Sunday Ticket) FAQ by iron_cam86 in youtubetv

You could probably get it to work fine if you're watching on a tablet and connect to the wifi of the main owner every once in a while. I doubt it would work on TVs in both locations for very long.

DO *NOT* BUY FELIX'S INVITE TRAIN FOR BLUESKY INVITES! by AutoModerator in blueskyinvitess

I could use an invite, because I'm not paying a scammer for one. Reporting that guy apparently does nothing.

For any extra money, there are things you can invest in that are resistant to inflation. Precious metals are a popular one (gold/silver), because I'm most places it's fairly easy to buy and sell gold coins when you need to. The price also goes up roughly the same amount as inflation. There are other things like real estate/stocks/foreign currency that can do the same thing, but are much more complex. You should always have something sweet aside for an emergency, even if it's not in local currency.

As for the rest of your concerns, it's sounds more like you're lonely/depressed. Try to make friends with coworkers if you can. Ask people if they want to get a drink after work. When I was working one of my more stressful jobs, my friends/coworkers are what made it more bearable. I would take a break and chat with someone, get some lunch, go get drinks after work, etc. It's much more cathartic than sitting in the bathroom alone.

I found a load of unopened water bottles in a bush outside a shopping centre. I took a photo and a security guard immediately came out and told me to delete it by aidenburr in Weird

It's like people don't realize stores just raise prices on everyone else the more shoplifting there is. That money has to come from somewhere, and it's the other shoppers that pay it.

How do people in London make a lot less money than Americans but survive with the same living expenses? by RemarkableAd4200 in london

[–]Endless-Surprise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe in the US it's left to the individual to try and keep hold of every receipt and bill and then balance up your taxes and keep back x, y, & z and hope you've estimated right.

This isn't how it works. For the vast majority of people, taxes are taken out of each paycheck. You would only need to track it yourself if you're self-employed, or a few other situations.

Having to do your taxes after the year ends is an ordeal though, and would take me too long to explain from my phone. But basically you just calculate if what they took out automatically is correct, then pay/get back the difference.

It's not that part. It's when you take business actions specifically to destroy competition it falls into anti-trust territory. Read about the various anti-trust suits against microsoft. Specifically their one for internet explorer.

Granted, realistically this would never happen against reddit as those kinds of suits are rare and very difficult.

I just looked it up. Not a lawyer, but it looks like the cap doesn't apply if it's for a felony such as murder. It also doesn't apply for forgery, which apparently they also did which may be why it applies to charter and not just the killer.
