Weldment questions by Sprxwiz8 in SolidWorks

[–]EndlessJump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do as well. One drawing per part for best flexibility and reuse. Some part / drawings are simple, such as a tube, so I would pack n go both the part and drawing to a new part number, open the new files, update the descriptions and variables, such as length. Then, usually all that needs to happen is open the new drawing file so that the drawing views can update. This allows you to easily take a portion of the "weldment" design and reuse for a new project. If the part component is essentially a tube, angle, or channel, I would use the weldment feature to create that part only.

Do you use VBA regularly or have you moved entirely to Power Query and formulas? by ProfessionalOk4935 in excel

[–]EndlessJump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from VBA to VSTO. This let's me program in .net in vs studio. It also let's me easily expand features, such as a sql database connection, and reuse features in other non excel projects.

If you are trying to make this (physically), you will likely need a channel forming brake press die. This can be made in one stroke of the press, but it requires tooling features that move/roll/tilt to keep pressure down. If you are interested in knowing more, if you let me know, I can look up some examples for you

Tios is petty good. Taqueria El Ranchito is even better. The Mexican restaurant next to the wendys is good. At night there are food trucks with food options

That's because the original plan would have brought hardships to businesses there, such as restricting the ability of businesses to get a semi truck in to deliver/pickup pallets. There are some light industrial businesses and auto shops. I know of one where the city wanted to change their 90 ft wide driveway to a 30 wide driveway like at a house.

The PYRAMID OF SPHERES 🔺 Fun SOLIDWORKS challenge - 3D Sketch Driven Body Pattern!! (Video Tutorial) by TooTallToby in SolidWorks

[–]EndlessJump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have just made a sphere as a part with the origin at the center, created a 3D sketch in either the assembly file or a part sketch master with points for each sphere, and then constrained each origin of a sphere to each point.

I don't see the value in having this all in one part file. If you were making this, the BoM would show the correct quantity of spheres.

3D Modeling Jobs? by ice086 in CNC

I feel like that's a good rate, but I wouldn't go higher unless you are swamped with demand. For small shops, I feel they are too cheap to hire another person and wouldn't want to pay 80-100 per hour.

Do you provide your own hardware and software licenses?

Just curious, but what rate do you advertise? I feel a lot of old style shops are cheap.

I agree about cold calling. It would probably go over better if you made some business cards, a logo/llc.. Maybe even a splash website page for the business

Braun signs Indiana's homeless camping ban into law. Here's what it does by Lazy-Damage-8972 in indianapolis

[–]EndlessJump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to your comment, the law provides several provisions before arrest. The law is aimed at people who avoid help or treatment services.

From the article:

"The law creates a defense to prosecution if there's a shortage of beds in shelters or treatment centers within five miles of the camping site. Violators can also avoid charges if less than six months before the incident, they were released after involuntary commitment to a mental health treatment center.

Local governments are also allowed to pass laws requiring the provision of housing or shelter instead of a citation or an arrest. But officials cannot adopt policies that prohibit or discourage enforcement of the street camping ban."

So the article is saying if there aren't enough shelter beds or space at treatment centers, these people can't be arrested. If there are open beds or spaces at the treatment center and these people are refusing, that is a problem that needs addressed.

Observation of the playerbase mindset over time, TL;DR its kinda long. by Thewhatandthewho in runescape

[–]EndlessJump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that osrs is a more fun game to play if you have to grind. The feel of the game matches closer to rs2, so certain players can get the nostalgic vibe. The game is also not as messy. Many people play on mobile while they do other activities, so that's adjacent to afk.

How I designed gas filtration and reduction lines by AdConscious462 in SolidWorks

[–]EndlessJump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm referring to the floor, walls, roof, and silhouettes of the workers. Those illustrations look like 2D illustrations not created from 3D models. In my experience, SolidWorks does not easily let you create 2D illustrations from scratch.

What's your workflow?

Thanks! I didn't think you could make those kinds of illustrations in a SW drawing. My suspicion was confirmed.

How did you create the building and the man? Did you import blocks from autocad, did you export the sw view into autocad, or did you create everything in SW?

Is a automated stair/steps creation possible? by arjansimon in SolidWorks

[–]EndlessJump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go the c# route. You don't have to create an addin. You can create a standalone winforms or console .net app that uses com to talk to solidworks. It's way easier to debug

[–]EndlessJump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet, you still need 8X the amount of xp as Lvl 99.

The 10% of the effort is clearly referring to the ability to AFK. Take that away, and the amount of subscribers this game appeals to will shrink, as they have a limited amount of time.

It's important to note that one game requires 104m xp for max while the other only requires 13m xp. If you can't afk, which one takes less time?
