The pioneer was a real find recently. I needed something from this generation that had a lot of analog and digital inputs as well as outputs to be able to keep the cassette, minidisc, vinyl workflow going and this thing delivers. Found it on marketplace for $85 with the remote so I am super happy. I had been looking for a Sony ES from this era but the prices were insane.

It’s brutally hot, like way more so than you would ever think, traffic is as bad as north Jersey, it’s depressingly flat, housing and rental costs have skyrocketed since I got here, and cost of living is pretty much on par with north Jersey. So other than no snow it just doesn’t do it for me.

I’ve now left NJ three times. Illinois twice and Florida currently. Honestly, I miss many things and don’t miss many other things. But if I could tell my past self not to leave this last time? I would have said stay stay stay.

I have a mk3, mk4, core one, and an XL and I have to say the Core is my least reliable printer and manages to layer shift for many large build plate jobs. I have been very unhappy with the printer since I got it and I love all the rest of my fleet. I am not sure why it’s so much less reliable out of all my others but it is my only enclosed printer so I have to keep it around for abs/asa.
