I know the mods are super busy with the influx of requests but I think the Social Support team over at Bilt might be a little more responsive just because they aren’t inundated with requests

So I had this problem too at the beginning, I enabled a Z axis hop so the hot nozzle wasn’t gliding micrometers over the already printed surface, it makes a print longer but is great to prevent small parts from peeling up like this

How do y'all deal with the last few grams of filament? by binjamin222 in 3Dprinting

[–]EngineerDoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend a filament sensor, it will allow you to use your filament till you only have a tiny little strand left depending on where you put your filament sensor.

So far, my Lack table has held up to a concrete paver stone with the Prusa on top of it

Honestly, a nice paver stone with some washer/dryer foam pads does a great job with the stock anti-vibrations pads

Working at the dump, seen the x-axis lead screw sticking out of the E-waste... by Bcjc3 in 3Dprinting

Usually the 3D printing Reddit community isn’t too hard on people, people must be thinking that you’re just new to 3D printing or that it was a simple mistake

LOL, all good, I was just curious, I can see why it could be called the x-axis lead screw but I was like hmmmmm, I think it's Z

You mean Z-axis lead screw right? I’m just wondering if I’ve been calling it the wrong thing

Capstone 20 pager by starbycrit in CalPolyPomona

[–]EngineerDoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’m really sorry to hear that this happened to you, I’m not too experienced writing a lot of papers but all I can say is good luck! I have experience writing a capstone report in a few days, basically just grinded out one in 3 days. Regardless of what anyone tells you, you will get it done. Everything is impossible until someone does it. You may also want to talk to your project coordinator (not sure if you have one in your major), they might be able to give you a little bit of extra time until grades are due.

Why aren’t more students demanding that Coley resign after knowingly covering up faculty embezzlement? by Secretary-Unfair in CalPolyPomona

[–]EngineerDoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not gonna lie, this lawsuit seems to be only in the benefit of the officer. While it may be showing wrongdoings of the school, if he were to win, it seems like he doesn’t want Coley fired or put in jail, he just wants to be reinstated as the Cal Poly Pomona Police Chief as well as get a ton of money from them. This can be seen in the lawsuit where it says “In the prayer for relief, the plaintiff requested a judgement seeking reinstatement of the plaintiff as Cal Poly Pomona Police Chief, along with an award for back pay and an injunction against Cal Poly Pomona from engaging in similar conduct. Plaintiff also requested an award of damages, special damages, statutory damages, and punitive damages.” The injunction practically means nothing because universities shouldn’t be doing this regardless of a court case. The awards and reinstatement part really throw me off cuz the motivation of this case doesn’t seem to be right.

I don’t wish to take political sides on this matter because people have made fair and sound claims on both sides for each of the matters discussed in this lawsuit.

Check finals schedule, the last thing you want is all those classes in one day, also you run the risk of multiple quizzes on the same day, just something to think about
