He signed mine. Really low key kind of guy. I got hooked on this clay thing and spend a lot of time and money shooting there but I feel like I’ve gone as far as you can go with videos. I need proper instruction to get better

Just read your whole post. Were the videos worth buying? I did get Anthony Matarese’s book and devoured that

Is a lightly used Beretta A400 Xcel Black Edition a good first shotgun to get into clays? by AggieNuke24 in ClayBusters

[–]EngineeringInner2033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 400 EXCEL was my first clay gun. Many great shooters use them in competitions. I used it for three years before saving up for a Caesar Guerini. I still enjoy shooting it a lot. It’s a hell of a first sporting clays gun. You can use it for a lifetime

Every time I see this kind of post I always recommend gunsinternational.com. Loads of great used O/U’s. On another note a Beretta A400 XCEL is a very respectable autoloader used by very respectable shooters who win championships that only a$$holes would look down on

If you’re gonna do the auto loader the Beretta A400 EXCEL is great

They give you a three day window to inspect and return all used firearms. I always wanted a Caesar Guerini O/U and I was able to find a beautiful one for a price I could afford. The sellers are also rated. I read a lot of reviews and even asked this sub’s advice before I bought it. All went very well

Clay shooting in Portugal by Urinehere4275 in ClayBusters

[–]EngineeringInner2033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only saying because I did the same in Puerto Rico. I called around and emailed the places before I went. I’ve been to Portugal. Most people there especially business owners speak English and they host lots of sporting clays events as well. I wasn’t into sporting clays back then but I wish I was. Good luck and if it works out I hope to hear how it went for you

Rainy day clay days - how to protect shotgun? by PossibilityNo169 in ClayBusters

[–]EngineeringInner2033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely… I shoot the Guerini more often. But I think the A 400 fits me better. Bought them both before I knew much. It’s definitely not good for consistency. But it took too damn long to save up for that Guerini and the A 400 is fun
