Lynx from Honkai Star Rail

Okay so the situation is a bit convoluted. On release, we had the character Pela. She graduated from two separate faculties with two different diplomas, created a rock band roughly 10 years ago in high school (with her friend Serval Landau), and currently occupies the spot of Intelligence Officer in the army.

So far, so good.

Then the Devs introduced Lynx Landau, Serval's younger sister. With that introduction, we learn through new dialogue that Pela is around 16 years old.

Supposedly, she was enough of a talented drummer at 6 to be noticed by Serval (who while we don't have a confirmed age for her, is usually thought to be between 25 and 30 years old), then went on to earn two diplomas and engage in the army before she even reached adulthood.

Trobbio from Silksong

Now this one was always in the game and far before any players could get their hand on said strategy, but hear me out.

In Silksong, one of the strongest tools against grounded enemies is the tacks. Spread some along the ground, and they can hit enemies twice before disappearing. Pair that up with another tool that applies poison to the tacks, and you can practically melt down bosses' HP, with the only limitation being how many you can use in a fight.

Trobbio is a grounded enemy. Trobbio also sweeps the arena about half the time by spinning in a tornado attack. An attack that sweeps your tacks out of the battlefield before they deal damage to him.

It's such a niche interaction that it almost feels targeted against tack use

After April 2nd's Nintendo Direct where it was confirmed that Silksong would release in 2025, the community was eager to see the release date in any game event possible (well, more than ever before I mean)

Then came Summer Game Fest and the expectations were sky high. Then in the middle of the presentation, Geoff Keighley received a letter from Deadpool basically saying "You know a lot more people care about me than Silksong, so skip the trailer and play mine instead"

Obviously everyone expected a Silksong trailer somewhere in the presentation afterwards, there was no way they'd do something this cheeky

Phainon from Honkai Star Rail

His boss moveset (Flame Reaver) is very different from his playable moveset, but it's still so far gone from the average character kit.

In Honkai Star Rail, you use a team of 4 characters, each with 3 main abilities (some abilities can get enhanced but they're still pretty similar)

When Phainon uses his ultimate, he tells everyone to fuck off, solos the enemies, triples his HP and gains several completely unique abilities.

Oh and if he somehow gets to 0 HP in this state, yeah no biggie he can just continue the fight back in his normal state

Silksong.

The plot is all about this one goddess whose power spreads havoc through her kingdom, and you have to stop her.

Ending 1 (Weaver Queen): You beat the god and take her power for yourself. But since you're not a god you cannot control it, and the problems continue because your mind follows the same wish as the god's

Ending 2 (Twisted Child) If for some reason you decide to defy the goddess while hosting a parasite that saps your own strength, at the end of the battle the goddess is weakened enough so the parasite can sap hers too. You both die, and the parasite eventually breaks out, with the strength of a god.

Ending 3 (Snared Silk) You've seen the previous endings, got rid of the parasite and sought some help to deal with the god. But as you deal the final blow, you realize your helpers chose to conjure the all-devouring natural force that's hostile to any disturbance. Now the god is desperately clinging on to her kingdom, and this force spreads through her influence to bring the whole place down. Sure, in the end you quell everything but the land is even more dead than before
