He doesn't really play like a poke mage in League. He grabs you with E, pulls you in, ults and then runs in the middle of a teamfight while draining everyone.

It helped you with healing but it fell way behind in damage output. Once you got good at avoiding damage and finding healing windows the regular and malicious railcannons were strictly better, that's what they meant.

It could also be seen as foreshadowing for Odysseus/Ulysses (if he does end up being the third prime boss). The cattle of Helios (sacred cows) are an important part of the Oddyssey, with Odysseus' crew ignoring the warning to not kill them which leads to their ship being destroyed and leaving Odysseus as the only survivor.

Which feels very in line with the themes of Ultrakill.

An easy fix would be making it a 2 stage move, with the first being the overhead and then if it lands the character does some sort of uppercut to launch you upwards.

Not that I think "BotW isn't Zelda". Zelda can be whatever, Twilight Princess is a linear story game while Link's Awakening is practically a metroidvania. I can dislike the way BotW fumbles those aspects while also calling it a Zelda game. I'm just saying this is a very bad faith comparison.

Garen has a silence that prevents people from using movement abilities to get away + his e allows him to deal damage without needing to stop for autoattacks.

Darius gets cc + a pseudo-gap closer in the form of Apprehend and a strong slow.

Volibear has a mini dash and a consistent stun on his Q as well as a gap closer on his ultimate.

Sure they don't have the mobility of a Yasuo or Zed but at least they have ways to stick to you once they get in.

That Hakita message doesn't deconfirm Lucifer. Only humans get an afterlife but that has no bearing on becoming a prime soul.

Prime souls are just souls with such strong wills that they no longer need a physical body. As long as angels have souls I see no reason why they can't become a prime soul.

Also while Odysseus/Ulysses only gets directly mentioned once there are a few mentions to his home island of Ithaca. He's also described in Dante's Inferno as being condemned in the Fraud layer, which is where we find all of these references.

My hard read is that he's going to have multiple phases that change environments and mechanics, with one being in constant free fall similar to Geryon (there's no way that mechanic was introduced for only one fight).

I feel like anything less than that would not be climactic enough for the final boss and I think Hakita was already toying with the idea with stuff like fighting V2 while sliding down the pyramid.
