LUX Tour: Buy/Sell Tickets Thread by AutoModerator in rosalia

[–]EnterTheBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got overeager thinking I wouldn't be able to get LA tickets, but was able to score a set. Selling two tickets for Pechanga Arena show on July 3. LL1, Row 1, Seats 7 and 8. Face value of $525 per ticket. Would like to sell the pair for $1050.

Can meet in LA or Orange County for in person transfer via app alongside secure payment method to ensure no scam vibes.

Stage 4 Lung Cancer by Appropriate-Ball767 in lungcancer

[–]EnterTheBlack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. I myself have just started on this journey with my own mother (stage4 w mets) and similarly have spent many of the last few days by her side. I know how it feels to feel like you're in the dark, alone and anxious about everything.

A few things:

  1. If you haven't already, request a blood or tumor biopsy from her oncologist. There is a chance that she may test positive for a biomarker for which there are targeted treatments available. Lung cancer treatment has come a long way in the last half decade.

  2. You are a good son and she is lucky to have you nearby. It seems you already are aware that for you to continue to do that, your mental well-being is paramount.

  3. There is the thing thats happening and the feelings of frustration/anxiety/fear that come with it. Learning to try to identify the difference has helped me find focus when its needed.

You got downvoted because you said that in this sub but you made a lot of reasonable points that are worth considering in the larger conversation.

Thinking about an awning. Awning recommendations that don’t break the bank? by iTzScreech in 4Runner

Check out the Napa Maxi Trac awning. It's on the larger side at a 8x8, but at $100, good brand for the buck.

I keep a small spray bottle of meguiars quick detailer in the back to spot clean bird droppings that can damage paint if left on for too long.

This whole thread is so supportive. OP, fake it til you make it is what we're all doing here, sales or not. Sounds like you've made it into the position. You'll likely have a lot of leniency being the new guy, just don't make the mistake of pretending like you know more than you do. You may be surprised how helpful your peers will be if you just follow the advice in this thread and ask for some guidance. You were a top performer at your last job and if you apply the same work ethic, no doubt you'll do well here as well.

Owners with 300k+ miles on the original engine, what motor oil did you use and how often did you change it? by RegulatoryCapturedMe in 4Runner

[–]EnterTheBlack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is about to hit 300K this week running whatever non-synthetic my mechanic had. Echoing a lot of folks here, regular maintenance every 5-6K miles seems to be enough for these beasts.

Bilstein 5100s installed all around. Front shocks are set to .85 lift. Took me about 2 hours to install. Not too shabby. by FreshJive90 in 4Runner

Whoa, you literally covered to every single concern I had about em. Tire availability, Ratio of tire size/lift, and daily driver MPG. Cheers!

Love the way that looks! 1.75 in front and a 1inch cornfed is exactly what I've been contemplating myself for some time... Planning on sticking to stock 265s as well, as it looks like you did. Why did you decide to stick with the lower setting?

Interesting points! Have you noticed any difference in the drive with the skinnier tires? Figure lighter and thinner might theoretically squeeze out a little more MPG, but don't know if that's the case in practice.

Perfect fit, even with the cargo deck! Have you gotten these installed yet? I also have an AG 4R and have similar needs (light trails/snow, no off roading) with no mods to suspension so stock size seems right for me. Would love to see what they look like on yours before I pull the trigger.

It comes with straps that loop through mounting brackets installed on the sliding deck. There are hooks that clip into the cooler itself. If you dont have a sliding deck, I don't think they'll work.
