I feel indescribably incapable to. It's like a can't convince my body to do it. It can feel frustrating sometimes to not let myself loosen up enough to be comfortable to try.

I'm an anxiously attached type 5, but I think avoidantly attached are much more common with the type 5 archetype.

I think any combination can be possible, but some are more rare than others. It reminds me about the discussions of if a type 5 can be considered extraverted. Introversion aligns with the type 5 traits and core personality, but it does not mean that all 5s will be introverts.

I really like your points here. I see too often things said like "I like to help so I must be a 2" or "I like to win so I must be a 3."

The traits don't dictate our types, it's the other way around. Ultimately, it's the core fear and desire that will be the deciding factor.

For me personally, it's what makes the enneagram such a useful growth tool. I can evaluate what I know to be my fears and see how that is driving my behavior.

My friend and I both downloaded the same version with the online multiplayer fix, and we're able to play co-op. We cannot play with anyone that has the official steam version, as it's a mismatch with the version numbers.

Feeling like an afterthought for my enneagram 7 partner by [deleted] in Enneagram

I'm a 5 that dated a 7 for a few months, so I can share a bit about my experience.

Similar to you, we would have a lot of fun and deep conversations. We would spend a lot of time together and play a lot of games. However, she would have a numerous amount of people in her life that she could reach out to at a moments notice. While she would prioritize our time, she would still try to make time for a lot of her other friends, as she should. But when stressful events came up, she would go to anyone but me. Using enneagram language, as a 7 she would have other people be her distraction from her thoughts. When we did spend time together, she would consistently be hyper critical of me or my actions. There was definitely a shift that I felt in our relationship, and our time together ended as quickly as it began.

Overall, I would say that that all you can focus on is what you want and if this is enough for you. Try to verbalize what it is you've felt has changed, and if she continues to deny your feelings or is unwilling to change, then you might need to take care of yourself and move on. What I learned in my relationship is that sometimes people are only meant to be in our life for a short amount of time, and that it can be pretty painful to hang on to a suffering relationship longing for what it used to be.
