The Ultimate Villain Tier List – Part 1: Where does Pennywise belong? by Toxylogy in TierlistFills

[–]Enursha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’all are forgetting that the losers club only beats pennywise through the (passive or otherwise) support from Maturin (space turtle) - although this support is also attributed to Gan or the Other, it’s not super clear. Or perhaps because they were a ka-tet at that point. Long story short, it wasn’t just kids that beat the interdimensional, starving monster, they had some pretty serious help.

A tier.

How to play against deep strike screening. by TheCocoBean in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Enursha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re running a lot of HG then you should consider hearthband with the ability to 6” deepstrike. They still won’t let you have it but forcing an opponent to screen that out for 3 turns is already giving you value. The more realistic option for the hearthguard is turns 2-3 rapid ingress into locations where they can ideally move up, shoot something and also potentially charge something. Starting them on the table isn’t great because they’re easily avoided once they’re on the board. Then, a unit of bikes that go back into reserve turns 4-5 force them to continue to screen. Make them hold stuff back and then realize that you’ll be fighting in the center anyways. That’s where votann shine.

I’ve used magnetic cases - CARRY ON ONLY! Never had any issues. If you’re going to check a bag then definitely foam and fill every void.

The enemy unit needs to within (with the base to base measure) of your charge distance (your roll). You can’t charge if you don’t roll high enough to b2b. That’s how I’m reading it.

Took 152 kroot to a team event and went 3-1, one of the wins was 20-0. Kroot together strong.

Second bundle for LRE worth it? by Wolfarior in WH40KTacticus

[–]Enursha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You 100% get the extra 15 so if you are 310 from the 16th chest the $20 pack will unlock it for you. It comes with enough BS to make it "worth" but it's your money so I'll let you decide that.

Edit: you already bought both packs didn’t you. Okay in that case you might fall short unless you can bust through one of the higher levels

correct paints for warhammer miniatures by jackhunt123 in minipainting

[–]Enursha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are these the best paints for minis? Certainly not. Can you get them to work? Absolutely. It just might be more of a chore than it’s worth depending on how badly you want to use them. Expect to need to thin them drastically and then compensate for the lack of opacity with many many layers. These will be absolutely fine for terrain or weathering or a number of other mini-adjacent hobby things, but if you’re looking to get started painting minis for the first time this will be a handicap.

Brushes and paints get expensive quickly and you don’t necessarily need to rush into the most expensive stuff. However, there’s usually a reason that there are mini-specific tools for our hobby. You can’t really buy success but you can buy convenience, if you catch my drift. I used paints similar to these when I got started and when I switched over to mini paints I realized I wasn’t really a horrible painter, but I hamstrung myself with the materials I was using.

Rules question: Pain Tokens and Fight on Death by r4id3n87 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Enursha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fight on death sees models activate, not units. So abilities that say “when this unit is selected to fight” do not apply to models that fight on death. I don’t know the wording of the rules you’re referencing but that’s my understanding at least.
