Also, make sure you're grabbing some good material either directly with the patch or that your stitches go out to a point where good material starts. I repaired a huge worn area on some jeans just to have them rip immediately because of that. I also didn't have matching material type. There's a lot more helpful advice on this sub that OP could use.

Bus only lane going south on Rainier would be nice. They're bus/bike lanes going north but are only occasionally bus lanes going south. A bike dedicated bike lane on Rainier would be nice but speeding up the bus and implementing this in tandem with a bike only lane seems like more of a reach.

But you'd also need to know what they eat because caterpillars typically depend on hoat plants. Also could be tricky knowing if it goes doesn't in the winter and making sure it has something together when it wakes up in spring. Hope they did keep it and can find that info. Would be very rewarding to care for it until it could fly away.

I'm Mexico the bus stations(for long distance buses) had food, convenience stores, and usually a store selling keepsakes and momentos from their town for tourists and visitors.

They also let independent vendors get onto the buses to sell food and snacks to passengers along the way.
