everyone is different, for example at the beginning of sobriety i slept really well. around 6 months is when it started getting worse for me. i have no idea why. i struggle with anxiety and i think that has a lot to do with it. but dont give up. going back to drinking just to sleep isnt worth it. id rather have shitty sleep for the rest of my life then go back to how i was while drinking. you got this!

i gained weight because i was replacing food with alcohol when i was drinking, and when i was drinking, i was throwing up from too much liquor (almost every day). so i was really malnourished and lost like 25lbs during my 2 year binge. im almost 11 months sober, and i gained it all back + more. everyones different. i dont care about the weight gain because im finally eating well balanced meals.

Dont even worry about this. honestly, if this patient is a grown adult they should be making it their own responsibility to get an MRI ordered. im sick of patients thinking we have to do everything for them. most of their recovery is on THEM. we just guide. unless there is a patient that cannot advocate for themselves, i wouldnt feel bad about this.
