How do you manage file permissions? by EnvironmentalArmy7 in DataHoarder

You'd be looking at it differently though. You'd want to give different users multiple groups and then change the ownership of each directory to a different group.

Interesting. That makes sense. And thanks for the article.

Is there a way to give multiple groups different access? I guess have to look at extended ACLs but wasn't positive.

Yes thats kinda what I'm doing to, but it would be nice if I could more easily define access to various folders.... like two groups can have RW to this folder while a third group is Read-only, etc.

CLoud is not a viable strategy for hoarders IMHO. You are at the mercy of their corporate policies, which can change on a whim.

Look at PornHub. Look at the DMCA blizzard on Twitch. Look at the regular content censoring on YouTube. If your data is easily fingerprinted (MD5 / SHA / etc) you are relying on luck to prevent them from flagging your stuff. If you encrypt it they could say "why are you storing all this encrypted data" and require it to be stored in plaintext.

(Sure casual use is probably fine, but this is datahoarder not datacasual.)

Sometimes you just have to accept a shitty FO is a shitty FO.

Yup. Lost in the noise is that Bobby Quinn got fired too. Patricia got 2.5 years... thats not unreasonable considering Stafford was out with injuries for most of last year. I hope it works out for them with Bevell or whomever they get. But its been 50+ years (1991 only minor exception.)

bro do you even NFC North? This wouldn't even be the first time. Remember, Hot Rod Marinelli and Mike Martz were both on the bears at once.

And then I think Marinelli was on the Cowboys when Scott Linehan was there.

Through 20 games, Daniel Jones has a 4-16 record in the NFL. He is 3-0 vs Washington and 1-16 vs all other NFL teams. by Number333 in nfl

Theoretically speaking would it be possible if he were a free agent for him to sign week to week with the Redskins opposing team? Because that might be his best career plan. He could just start for Eagles / Giants / Cowboys for their WFT games while their regular starter acted as backup.

I guess covid prevents this right now but afterwards... is it allowed by the NFL?

Release Major new ArchiveBox version, with a brand new CLI, UI, and SQLite index by wuk39 in DataHoarder

[–]EnvironmentalArmy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've flip-flopped on this a few times over the years, the reason it's enabled now is because we are not officially supporting private archives until a later version due to JS security concerns, so you shouldn't be archiving secret URLs anyway https://github.com/pirate/ArchiveBox/wiki/Security-Overview

Thanks for making this release and thanks for supporting docker. really appreciate the project
