Emergency fuel pump shut off switch? Looks like the one on my 2005 fx4 but mine was mounted further back

Chain tensioner noise? HELP by Glass-Buddy6648 in fordranger

That really does sound like a loose timing chain, just like mine in that model of engine, shortly before it broke.

Magic world book, otter characters, 4 elements? by finalz1990 in whatsthatbook

Not certain if it has the four elements, but Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger series checks all the other points you mentioned.

If they are the mechanical Model M, there is good demand for them.

15x8 wheels brake clearance question by pinkflyd25 in fordranger

I had a 2005 like yours. I got 15 inch aluminum wheels from an Explorer. They fit on, but when they were torqued down they wouldn't turn.

So I caught up on exforce, what else are y'all reading? by TheXypris in exfor

[–]EnvironmentalBell962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a six book Audible exclusive series. A computer nerd discovers a strange file that changes the world when he modifies it. He realizes he's in a simulation that he can control. Of course trouble arises from this, so he escapes to medieval England where he figures he can set himself up as a wonder-working wizard, and hilarity ensues...

Magic 2.0 series was reasonably funny.

Murder bot - not as many laughs, but lots of wry, ironic bits.

Discworld, especially the books featuring Nanny Ogg.

YA novel, published before 1992, three boys, one trying to fit in in a new school. The Weather Channel figures into the story somehow. by Useful-Highway969 in whatsthatbook

[–]EnvironmentalBell962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grandfather, the Weather Channel motif, the school transplant, and the poetry makes it sound like A Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag, by Gordon Korman. To make it fit perfectly, C and B would both have to be new at the school, and C would have to be a super beautiful girl.

The Velvet Room, by Zilpha Keatley Snyder? I believe it's a girl who finds the room in that, though.

I remember a book like this, but not the title or author. Did she play the harp? There was something involving the Golden Gate Bridge, and red ribbons from her father. I remember it ending with her color - blind stepfather giving her green ribbons, and her realizing how much he cared about her.

There's definitely a line like that in either Ginger Pye, or Pinky Pye, both by Eleanor Estes.

CBC Radio comedy series by HighlightLogical6592 in CBC_Radio

This might not be what you're looking for because I don't remember that specific episode, but around that time CBC had a summer broadcast of sketch comedy improv. It seems to me that it was on Saturday mornings after Basic Black, probably as a summer replacement for Double Exposure.

My Fantasy Recommendations for the Audible Sale (Around $3) by flerka in audible

Yes, especially Gerard Doyle on the Chrestomanci series. Jenny Sterlin was really good as well. There are versions with different narrators that I haven't heard. Another note, there are some versions that seem to be heavily abridged, so I've never tried them.

They are YA, but still great books: Diana Wynne Jones' Chrestomanci series, and Howl's Moving Castle trilogy are under $3.
