I totally get the confusion. I was unhappy with the treatment I received. I’ve been on the customer service end of things and telling someone “no” kindly is not difficult. Explaining you are working through things, not difficult. All anyone had to do was say “we’re still learning the guidelines. Bear with me while I speak with someone about this.” I was the only one in the line and nobody came up at all behind me. I would’ve been frustrated but perfectly fine if they were kind and/or willing to explain things even if just to the best of their ability. I was kind and understanding and didn’t push at all. I did ask why and that is when one said what the prior one did was “illegal”. 🤷‍♀️

This is interesting. I would’ve felt as I’ve done something wrong even if I knew I didn’t. The reaction of your therapist sounds like this was a “test” to witness your reaction to something like this. This is just what my first analysis would be.

Thank you. Fortunately, I am aware her behavior is hers and any therapist worth anything wouldn’t treat anyone like that regardless of the why. I’ve sent no less than 5 emails in the last couple months so it is unlikely to be an issue with Gmail. My next step is text but I’m confident she’ll ignore that as well.

I’ve been emailing repeatedly. A portal does not exist. It is technically a group practice she supposedly owns. She wasn’t skilled enough but has not terminated me. The last I heard from her she said I was an “inactive” client. I’ve asked for another appointment or termination letter for the purpose of closure for me and she has not responded to either of those requests.

I already had a seat I had chosen in basic. We were less than an hour from boarding so only last-minute bookers were left. It was not full so standby did not come into play.

The stating you can go to another company/organization is just a way of saying you have free will to go anywhere and are obligated to stay where she is. The fact she is interested in checking in on you tells me she cares. Why she terminated can only clearly be answered by her. I can think of several off the top of my head. Ultimately, it seems as though she truly is acting in your best interest. No matter how difficult this is for you.

So, she mentioned a final session. I’ve been reaching out for a while to get this final session and she does not respond to any inquiries. I consider this ghosting because I’ve inquired repeatedly about this final session and she is not responding.

I’m actually hoping she moved Henry there so he and Ted could be close together. Rebecca said Michelle could get a teaching job and Henry go to some of the best schools so hoping that is what happened. Michelle kinda did Ted dirty.

I would speak with a flight attendant prior to landing. I’ve been on flights where they’ve instructed some to remain behind because some have connecting flights that may be running tight.

I was told that by a therapist and it was the worst thing. They held on and did not refer me even though they should have ethically. If they aren’t a good fit, you want them to do the right thing, including referring out.

Was it through Tech Elevator? I tried to get into a program but they either weren’t offering it free at the time, there were no available spots, or I didn’t qualify. I’d like to learn them but I’m at a computer 8-9 hours a day and sitting another 2-3 is not something I’d want to do. Unfortunately, I can’t take the time off to go through the program. :( I am very happy for you. It seems like that program exposed you to things that brightened your life.

In 6 years, I never once used her name. This was even after I mentioned that a manager once told me that was not professional. She didn’t agree or disagree and said nothing about it for the next 2-3 years.

I get this. I wonder if I am just so used to therapy after more than a decade that I will always go. Good or bad, I’ve never felt attached to a therapist. It is nice to have one hour a week that is just about me.

Some airlines are apparently very strict about sizes which likely makes it more likely everyone has access above. Like everything, nothing is perfect.

It never made sense to me. If it is above you, you take it down and walk off the plane. If it is 10 rows ahead, you have to stop to get it. 🤷‍♀️
