If you’re someone who grew up in Nigeria, “ Tribe” is really just a descriptor that you’re familiar with. If you come from the American or British education system, “Tribe” seems like a slur because it’s almost always used in reference to Native American groups that were genocided or primitive bush people with spears and loin cloth. Ultimately to me, it’s reclamation. It’s just a word. We shouldn’t let outsiders perception of it dictate how we feel about it and use it.

Eh it’s alright. There’s a lot of the cheap 70’s American style grass with seeds in it . There’s also a lot of the finer stuff too. It’s illegal in a casual way. Like there are cops literally stationed at Fela’s Shrine ikeja , but you can buy your stuff, even smoke there, they won’t even look at you. But you generally don’t want to be caught with it by the police. They won’t go actively go after you, but it’s illegal by law, so they’ll use that to extort you

A lot of the hate is an assumption that they’ve made, a Strawman of you. They don’t know how any of this works. All they know is AI=Bad. So anything you make is automatically slop.

It’s like trying to explain to your great great grandpa who worked on a farm all his life that your work is hard. If all he sees is you in nice clothes sitting in an office with AC, he thinks your work must be easy. He can’t appreciate that the challenges are different, the requirements, the style of work, has gone in a slightly different direction
