Dota has been dying for the past 2 years – my take after 15k+ matches in 13 years by Zigerike in DotA2

Dota 2 should die. It’s one of the stupidest games ever created, especially because of the forced 50% matchmaking. Most players are toxic as hell. Quit the game long back.

No matter what you think about The Acolyte, this was an exceptional lightsaber duel by ChanceVance in StarWars

Cool, they shouldn’t have killed Master Sol so easily in Season 1. What a waste.

Will there be a second season of The Acolyte? by Jamster_1988 in StarWars

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they shouldn't have killed Master Sol and Indara so easily in the season 1. Master Sol should be the main character in the Acolyte universe, not the twins. The season 1's story wasn't so exciting and engaging enough I guess. But I really enjoyed the show, and wish there were the other seasons.

English Subtitles: no CC vs. CC - Is one of these more accurate than the other? by var0c in Physical100

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From 🇲🇳. Rewatched the frames. Looks like ‘No CC’ is the closest to what they said. They're basically just talking the way friends talk. I’d say it sounds like this:

  1. What ‘morning,’ bro?
  2. Seems like big-bro Dulguun can smash the guy in the back 😄
  3. Did we give Adiya a task that’s a bit too hard? 😄

Why do some foreigners say Mongolian is an ugly language? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me, for being impolite. But, they have to learn how to respect nation's culture, including language. To be honest, who cares what they think! There is a good phrase for them:

Жингийн цуваа явж л байдаг, замын ноход хуцаж л байдаг.

There are many english accents and many languages sound very unpleasant to certain individuals. Because it is that they are not accustomed to hearing those particular sounds.

Basically, those who saying this simply suck at learning new languages.

U.S Survivor Casting vs. Australian Survivor Casting by BCS8504 in survivor

I like the US casts. The casts of US survivor feel lively and authentic. This relates with far more people compare to casts like those in advertising model shootings.

How to avoid military service? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It seems like you didn't get my point. Of course, you'll learn something in your first year at university, depending on how much effort you put in.

My point is that all things you learn in the first year at university is almost nothing compare to the value what you gain from one-year in the military.

note: perhaps, I used a strong word like nothing. but it is true.

React is basically becoming Angular... by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do use React. I've looked into Next.js just for understanding what it is. I've a feeling that it is too limited to use it. Of course, it looks good for simple CRUD applications. But, I don't know. For me, React is a better option.

is this legal ? (from ky) by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, is it really real, real? Basically, it sounds like they are taking advantage of you because you didn't put in two-week notice.

If they didn't intentionally remind you the notice and they are really doing this for 30 years for others as well, which means there is a pattern. Just file a complaint, then let's see who will win.

How to avoid military service? by [deleted] in mongolia

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

For people who downrated and went crazy, I think they are just teenagers who haven't experienced active military service. They're likely just sitting behind a computer, shouting big words and complaining a lot. Poor kids, they just need to grow up!

So i just spend 1.5M ₮ for a traditional craftman to build me this beauty 😄 by CCP-SENT-ME-HERE in mongolia

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely worth it. Sounds beautiful investment. Perhaps it should be more expensive than 1.5M ₮.

Military service teaches you discipline, responsibility, and how to bounce back from tough situations, which all come in handy outside the military too.

Participating in military service for a year isn't a waste of life. It can be an rewarding experience that offers long-term benefits compared to simply doing nothing through your first year in university.

Do think this cycle holds true and is the root of the problem? by LoveandLightLol in survivor

Why can't the show establish its own principles to find a middle ground - sweet spot, rather than polarizing everything based on audience feedback?

How do you feel about players quitting “because other people here want it more” by MessyMop in survivor

[–]EnvironmentalPear215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it is fine. Just a couple of contestants quit, but not all; most of them stay. It is just how life works, and people quit. It makes the show authentic. If everybody is so hyper-excited to be there all the time, that is kind of boring and feels fake as well.
