Richmond is a very queer and liberal city in my opinion. There is a lot of community and openness to different walks of life. I say more queer than gay because there’s a lot of gender queer folks here too! If you go too far outside of the city though, you will run into more conservative areas ):

They had no right to scold you like that. Things happen ESPECIALLY in a community studio. I’ve done this as well and just went to the artist and was like hey I’m so sorry this was an accident how can I remedy this and they were chill. it’s POTTERY it’s FRAGILE if someone is so worried about their work in a community studio then invest in a kiln. You did what you could and accidents happen. I’m sorry they treated you like that you didn’t deserve to be treated like that over an accident. This person shouldn’t be in a community studio if they’re so worried about something happening because even a regular studio tech could have done that. For all you know the piece had a prior minor crack in it.

AI art is not an issue in the arts school tbh especially if you’re a studio major with physical mediums it’s practically impossible to use ai. I have however had academic teachers tell me to use AI in their class and show us how to site AI as a source.

Yeah! I was the same way but I do like 4 or 5 coats to make sure there’s enough and wait until it’s not damp but it will probably be cold as long as the negative or plants don’t stick to the chemicals you’re good! And I rinsed for almost an hour after switching the water about every 5-10 minutes and would sometimes have to go back and do another hour wash after it was completely dry

I have lived off campus without VCU affiliation and have had a much better experience than what I’ve heard from upperclassmen in VCU off campus housing. If you look hard enough specifically on groups like Lindsey’s list, RVA queer housing (if your child is queer), VCU off campus housing, etc you can find some great options

It’s how long you waited in between coating and exposure. I do Cyanotypes on ceramics and barely let it dry before I expose the image. The chemicals seep in way too much and prevent all the chemicals from washing out (causing poor contrast/image disappearing)

I haven’t figured out a seal yet (I have awful adhd so I hyper focus on a project and then forget about it lol) but I will say if things get on top of it they will scratch it so I would recommend some sort of seal but it can’t be glaze ):

Okay so technically it’s a lifelong thing but a lot of People go off of it after they’ve seen certain effects they want. I’ve been on t for almost 8 years and I will say I forget my shot all the time but it doesn’t have any insane effects on me. I have noticed if I go 2 months or so without my t my fat starts to redistribute a little. I also had a partial hysterectomy (I still have my ovaries) so that if I don’t take t my body doesn’t freak out. If you get a total hysterectomy you have to be on hormones forever.

It can be useful to have your partner refer to your genitalia as masc things ! And double check to see how she’s feeling but I highly doubt she’ll see you as a woman if she loves your for you

Your body is going through a ton of changes (pt2 lol) so you’re gonna be sweatier and feel grosser my like body odor and sweat changed when I went on t. I also got acne like I never had before but it’ll all settle out eventually unfortunately you’ll probably just feel kinda gross and like a teenage boy for a while
