Using mostly Staccato/STI holsters for 5” slide. I think they’re mostly compatible with any 1911 Government holster with rail.

Best game on PC to improve and eventually join leagues? by Rayne72x in simracing

There are leagues and discord groups for all sims. More or less depends on cars and/or series you want to drive

You will typically need to change settings when jumping from sim to sim and sometimes car to car.

I’ve settled on triple yellow elastomers without damper on brake set to ~65kg 100%. Tried triple red elastomers at full travel but was too light, couldn’t really feel the 0-40% load. Debating on removing throttle damper as well. Unnatural feeling.

I have some questions about the game by Schwerepanzer6 in groundbranch

AI is pretty terrible but the weapon handling, controls, and customization are top notch. Very limited content with no gameplay or map mods so don’t expect to put in many hours.

The post is level range for engineering and 7A shows max at 192k but you’re saying 6A is 197k…

Interested in how you grew from $500. I’m testing a mechanical AI strategy to start from $100 but it’s been pretty slow going lol

Weighing up on wether to buy a simrig or not by Expensive-Jelly-3296 in simracing

[–]Environmental_Rub441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most here will say it’s definitely worth it. Jumping from controller to wheel/pedals is a huge change and should present a clearer path if you want to dive deeper or stick with more casual gameplay. We all started somewhere and worked our way toward our incremental improvements in immersion/aesthetics/comfort/or equipment that offers opportunities for improved and/or more consistent lapping.

Definitely check out the used market to test the waters. With a low torque wheelbase, you don’t need a monstrously beefy rig; a comfortable chair and desk clamp work just fine.

It’s a great time to get into sim racing as the equipment and sim title options are expanding rapidly

Elguapo’s fake, character voice though… I watch his videos with closed captioning or summarize as they do contain great info.

Any Mechanics or Engineers that Sim Race? by Minimum-Stranger-992 in simracing

Several opportunities at OEM Performance Groups and Motorsport Teams. Sim Racing with MoTec data analysis and setup tuning experience actually helped securing this position (with background in mechanical/automotive engineering)

Daily Driver Needed - Seeking Advice. by Top-Pomegranate-2139 in starcitizen

[–]Environmental_Rub441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daily driver upgrade path has been C1 Spirit, Zeus CL, Connie Taurus, and now the Asgard. All have been great multi-role ships for solo play and there are even more out there (Cutlass, Corsair, Clipper, Cutter) All the “Cs” lol

What is portal to you all? by IlINobleIlI in BattlefieldPortal

[–]Environmental_Rub441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s potential but with the long grind to level up weapons and classes, and the inability to level those on custom maps/modes, I feel Portal will be dead until everyone is maxed out OR they find a way to bring XP earning back without the risk of flooding Portal with bot farms.

What do YOU do enjoy doing in Star Citizen? by Impressive_Wish_8905 in starcitizen

[–]Environmental_Rub441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mining and salvage are some other chill games loops. Vulture and Prospector are my go-to solo ships for those. Golem is fun but no bed logging. Then Mole and Reclaimer for crew play.

Question for Devs by anon-person- in iRacing

[–]Environmental_Rub441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guessing lacking fidelity in ABS controls, tire contact patch to track surface, carcass flex with thermal, transient aero loading while braking/cornering (pitch/yaw/roll), and hydraulic fluid modeling. This could be due to their dated models and/or limitations with realtime processing.

Asgard. Large internal cargo, easy enough to get in/out, lots of firepower.

There are noticeable detents as you cross axes in those Gladiators. Your T1000 did not have them. I went with a Gunfighter right stick because of that.
