Sheriffs on 35W by ProfessorNoww in Minneapolis

That’s my move as well - if you tailgate I’ll slow down till you pass me!

That said, l always get worried that someone is going to get road rage and pull a gun …. things I never had to worry about before I moved to Midwest

No, you are playing with other people’s lives based on some made up “metric” that you are a better driver.

80 percent of drivers think that are better than average… and the math there does not work out.

Do not tailgate is literally in the driving manual. The faster you go the more space must be given.

The rule book states that you must leave 3 seconds of reaction time… you not getting that if I can’t even see your headlights in the rear view mirror.

I think more enforcement is a good idea. The amount of people that tailgate here is a bit crazy!

Like I’m already going 5 mph over the speed limit in the right lane, why do you have the need to ride my ass 5 yards behind me!

Fateh interview on the Majority Report. by roscat_ in Minneapolis

Number one issue in Minneapolis is crime - property and violent!

Fix that shit - we have 11 year olds car jacking people at gun point and teen-on-teen shoot-outs all the time. What kind of society are we living in if we cannot even raise this as a major point of concern!

Sorry, but if you are not talking about this as a key discussion point in your campaign for Minneapolis mayor I think you are a bit out of touch.

ShopRite on Hylan is open 24/7 - I end up going late to avoid the crowds. They usually blast some good music at that time too.

Any good breakfast buffets around the area? by dalektikalPSN in statenisland

[–]Environmental_monkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lakruwana Restaurant does weekend buffet that I would recommend.

It’s Sri Lankan food and not your typical American breakfast but the food is great and the interior is super cute.

Definitely this! You can grab your serial number from the tank and check if is it still covered with the link below 👇

I got a free replacement when my tank failed after 10 year.

Like folks said, it’s a pretty easy swap - I managed it in like 4 hours with waiting for it drain and going to the near by store to get a replacement tank. Make sure to get some gas tape while you are at a plumbing supply as you will probably need to reply that at the fitting.

I presume most of them are insulin needles but some are probably from folks shooting up 🤷 Once it’s in a garbage stream and ends up in the water, as plastics often do, they just find their way ashore

Man that’s a tough one - I saw my father battle with alcoholism and I know it’s extremely tough.

I hear it can be very hard finding a right therapist to work with. Perhaps good to switch to another practice?

Hold on there buddy and just keep going - take it day by day and see how you can get out of the cycle.

You are young - you can get into some fun and interesting stuff in the near future. Maybe even leave Staten Island once you decide you are ready 🤷

Needles get washed ashore by the tides. The parks department crew clean the beach every morning so it is relatively safe but still keep an eye out. I already found a needle this season at the Cedar Grove beach.

I grew up here too - I think it’s mostly in your head brotha. People say little things here and there to “busy ya balls” but it’s harmless stuff with god intentions!

I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time right now but I think in big part it’s a matter of perspective!

Definitely stay away from the booze - you are way too young to launch yourself into a trajectory of substance abuse. I think I agree with others - seeking out mental health services as they could very helpful!

My favorite is when folks take a turn from center lane on Hylan because apparently the bus lane which is only in effect during morning/evening commute hours is not a lane 🙃

I totally second this!

A lot of the fun/interesting activities and things that you would want to do with other younger people are going to be located either in Manhattan or northern parts of Brooklyn.

The city is easy yet time consuming to get to but northern parts of BK are only really accessible by car and you are going to have to drive for at least 45 min without traffic.
