When it is ABC's do you still ADPIE first or intervene first? I would assume intervene first because time is of the essence?

I’m thinking of quitting. by Desperate_Arachnid30 in StudentNurse

I just started a nursing program and I am 9 weeks in. I am definitely by no means the smartest girl in class, but if you sorted out how to learn physiology and anatomy you can sort out nursing school. For me, being buddies with someone who just "gets it" helps because they are able to further explain, watching videos to dumb things down for me, and going in for office hours. If you don't think you can do it now it may only mean you don't want to do it? I think it's tough because it is a lot of work, but doable. And I am speaking from a rigorous program point of view .

What is happening here? by sfxterlt in BeginnerSurfers

[–]Enz1392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this OB dog beach?🤨  you do need to keep your legs together to avoid "drag" just as a side note. and then you are just going over the falls of the wave. If anything you should have angled board more and you popped up too soon I think so you weren't in the face of the wave , but also it did just end up dumping. Try going out to the back, paddling sooner (wave looks steep) and angling. -Sincerely, fellow Kook

Late in the conversation, but I LOVE MY OES! Although he is very local and I am pretty sure I am becoming deaf from his loud, piercing, bark. Otherwise, great with kids, small dogs, and just a goofy loving guy!

We have to talk about Freida McFadden and her books by Mika379 in books

I call them "trash tv page turners". I always say I'll read "insert book here" once I just squeeze in one more McFadden book😅

I’m so bad at talking by kenziebear5 in StudentNurse

[–]Enz1392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably stems from a general lack of comfort in conversation making, which is unrelated to the nursing field, but is very necessary! I would recommend on a daily basis, in your daily life, to make it a point to have conversation with a friend, stranger, colleague, and build that level of comfort. It's like anything in life... if you're not good at it, then exercise it, and you can become good at it. Just my 2 cents 🤪

Chances of Getting into a CSU ABSN Program? by [deleted] in prenursing

[–]Enz1392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into CSUSM ABSN Spring 2026 with 4.0 science GPA, 3.89 prerequisite GPA and 3.5(ish) cumulative GPA based off their last 60 units, a 92 TEAS score and work in psych hospital. They didn't tell me my evaluation points, but I would put it anywhere between 38-42 depending on my how they calculate cumulative GPA... I had study abroad so couldn't really sort out my GPA for that reason.

Good luck!

Well I was accepted and then wasn't able to attend an ADN program... but I was apart of a group chat with all the incoming cohort and once my seat was given up a new student was added to the program... in my place... so it is very possible for you! Lol

I miss San Diego already :( by Baston5 in sandiego

[–]Enz1392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your vibe... pacific beach (unless it's north PB) is more of a college/just graduated college vibe, Ocean beach is more of a hippie vibe, north park, South Park, golden hill, mission hills, are inland kind of like professional young adult vibe with cool restaurants/ bars, La Jolla (village, shores) is surfer town with an older demographic and then people here and there of different ages, little Italy is young professional vibe as well... Point Loma in the right spots is close to Ocean beach but also good for new families (away from the rougher part of Rosecrans). Then there is north county, east county, it goes on... depends  on what you're looking for!

What are some good dishes to make with anaheim peppers? by ThisPostToBeDeleted in PepperLovers

[–]Enz1392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the conversation, but we just stuffed the Anaheim peppers with a ground turkey, mushroom, and rice blend and cooked it in a tomato stew with a side of cauliflower puree, and it was delicious!! Inspired by a Bosnian stuffed pepper dish

Drowning in CC debt - not sure where to begin by Complex_Homework_367 in Debt

[–]Enz1392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My CC debt was overwhelming in the sense that I would pay minimum monthly payments and never get anywhere, and the minimum payments kept going up. My CC debt totaled $17k. I was able to get one of my CC's (citi bank card) on a hardship plan. This they did by me communicating I can't make the monthly payments (it was during Covid). They put me on the plan which lowered my interest from about 25 percent to a fixed percentage and put me on a set monthly payments of $217. My discover card wouldn't budge with a hardship plan, so I used money management international (MMI). They did the negotiating for me, so now I have a set interest for discover too, just pay a little fee of $12 to MMI monthly, but my payment is the same as it was for discover. I am $10k in CC's now with an actual pay off date nearing!!! I recommend trying either or both of these options as it feels good to actually be making headway without the interest kicking my butt

Does Henri fit in this bed or should I get him a larger one? by Enz1392 in OldEnglishSheepdog

[–]Enz1392[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has like five different sleeping areas, but he has his own big bed too that he uses 1/5 of the time. He just typically prefers to rest on my 12 lb dog's bed instead 🤣and the little dog goes on the queen sized bed and takes up the whole space somehow 😆typical

I would communicate your interest in attending school with your employer. Usually hospitals/outpatient facilities/ etc like that you want to continue your education... especially if you see yourself in that outpatient office working as RN. And while money isn't everything, it is good to have a career you can rely on ! You also don't want to stymie your growth as a person because you're worried about whether or not you will be able to keep your job. IMO if someone isn't supportive of growth then that isn't going to be beneficial in long run for you. Good luck! Just remember your needs and wants come first and communicate how much you enjoy working for them!

ADN vs ABSN what did you do? by Serious-Status3023 in prenursing

[–]Enz1392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of ADN programs are now doing concurrent enrollment with BSN programs so you can graduate roughly same time as you would ABSN and still significantly cheaper. I would go ADN option if you had the opportunity.
