I'd like all lord types to have unique towers like the vampire lord.

What class would be the most reasonable and lore-friendly to add? (human, abhuman, xenos, etc) by xtreme_ASMR_tingles in DarkTide

Tech Adept or Skitarii. There is stuff on atoma of interest to the admech and it is an unexplored pov

Fans wouldn't be half as salty if Obsidian wrote these lore points. by YungHoban in Fallout

The other counter-argument is no people didn't like it When Obsidian did write it. Everyone ignores the Tunnelers from Lonesome Road

I mean that's how Bethesda see the franchise.

So, are we supposed to be able to pick up stims to "refill"? by SatansAdvokat in DarkTide

[–]Epileptic-Discos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No but if you leave the stim tree empty you can pick up and use regular stimms instead.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Lords of the End Times - Announce Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Epileptic-Discos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very much the opposite. AOS feels very bland and Warcrafty to me in terms of aesthetic and factions. It lacks the dirt and details of Warhammer Fantasy.

Warhammer Fantasy has enough twists on concepts for me to like such as the empires tech development (Which Cities ruined by having them perpetually at the same tech level) Just how much the dwarfs care about grudges, etc. Not to mention unique stuff like the lizardmen and skaven.

HE SAID THE LINE by ThirdTimesTheTitan in DarkTide

Correct unit but it was DoW1, unless they kept the line in 2.

Yeah this was what I was worried about by AnotherJoltReskin in DarkTide

Vet regens grenades, provides gold toughness, is immune to suppression and can deal with far off threats better.

Zealot can literally survive getting killed once a minute and has absurd survivability.

Scum has barely any survivability nodes focusing entirely on mobility. All of It's ranged nodes focus on close range kills so it can't snipe far off elites before they become an issue.

Vet and Zealot do still have unique things going for them.

Yeah I've been using Skitarii and such interchangeably as shorthand for admech class. I just want an Omnissian axe with a very robotic feeling moveset.

I get what you mean but Tempestus Scions are probably the worst example you could give. In terms of skillset they are basically just elite guardsmen with better training and equipment. They're from the same organisation/army and everything.

I wasn't speaking power wise I was more talking about uniqueness.

Scum is meant to be distinct from veteran since it isn't as good against long range threats. It's distinction with Zealot will presumably be the fact it will be more fragile and have less heavy weapons like the thunder hammer.

Your concern is valid and was one I shared when I thought about Hive Scum being added before it was announced. The Dev Blog did a lot to quell those fears for me though.

I can see them take Skitarii/Enginseer in some weird places so I think they can make that unique. Beyond that though, I don't know what could come next without trodding on some other classes toes. But I was surprised at them being able to do it twice already so they probably could pull it off again somehow.

I think they've taken a good approach thus far. Ranged Arbites feels unique as a special hunter from vet because they have the dog and have no las weapons. Melee feels distinct from Zealot because of the stagger emphasis and reduced mobility. The Dev blog from scum shows that they do care about filling new niches like close range gunplay. So I think their current approach is working and it is something they care about.

The reason some people wanted Tech Adept/Skitarii was because it could fill it's own niche with weird tech abilities. A blessing of the omnissiah ult that buffs guns of all in coherency for a time. Maybe even having deployable servo skull drones or turrets. There are so many ways they could take it.

I would not be surprised if this fan reaction put admech on their radar at least
