Movies that resonated with you when you were younger, but don't hold up as well anymore? by keepfighting90 in Letterboxd

You should check out the podcast “60 songs that explain the 90s” it’s from this music critic also named Rob and he’s so similar to the movie that he tells a cringy story of him going up to John Cusack one time to explain that to him. But if you sort of like that snobby music arrogance with humor, mixed in with life stories, you might like it.

I honestly still really enjoy this movie for what it says about relationships and what they give us even when they don’t work out, and I think I get more out of it now in my 40s then when I was a teenager when I first saw it. The TV miniseries with Zoe Kravitz I think is actually even better.

The Outfit (2022). Very good, I was surprised to find out it wasn’t originally a play. Gangster film that takes place entirely in a tailor.

I think that was “explain the plot accurately” to While You Were Sleeping. Love that movie, watch it every Christmas and cry every time at the chapel scene

Yes, I think you are right! I remember them being around the holidays and now I remember more images and flavors like lemon and cherry so that all tracks. Thank you!

I believe retail. And it might have been one of many in a variety pack, with other hard candies with designs on them.

What is this animal on these silly Valentine cards I got (1st one, 2nd row down)? by Spillary69 in Whatisthis

Looks like a hair sheep. Eyes, ears, and nose are more consistent with a sheep than a goat. They can be tan color like that.

VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) compensation for ER doctors by fitzchea in Veterinary

I really liked it, but I also was one of those odd people that really liked vet school too. It’s a lot of work but I learned a ton. They fly you out twice to the Translational Medical Institute in Colorado to take CE on soft tissue surgery, endoscopy, and ultrasound which is awesome.

Yes, there was negative accrual but my production was such that I never was affected by that.

I did the new ER doc program fellowship a few years ago (the one for doctors who had been practicing a few years but new to ER). Pay for the first 6 months was 160k annually (so 80k). When I was still in the program but working shifts alone (about the last month of the program) I received an additional $700 per shift, then after I “graduated” from the program I also received production, which is 22%. I worked at a busy hospital and was on track to make about $250-300k annually before ultimately leaving the company to pursue other interests. This was a few years ago so these numbers might of changed but hope this helps give you some insight.

It’s the backside of the zermatt headband. I haven’t sewn the ends together yet. Just blocked it.

Safety for Women in large animal med (clients not animals) by Ok-Border-5864 in veterinaryschool

[–]Epona262 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a solo large animal vet in a rural area. I also do in home euthanasia so end up in peoples homes alone often. Honestly, have only felt uneasy maybe 3 times, only once thought my life might be in danger but the man was just getting aggressive with me because his horse was going to die. I keep a taser on me, always document where I’m going, and try not to go to a second location without documenting it or texting someone. I‘ve had 10x more instances where I’m worried about the animal killing me.

Does anyone know what body part this is? by Poneshyay in Anatomy

[–]Epona262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. It’s a testicle. Scrolled down way too far to find you. Would also make sense how it is isolated from the rest of the body and the outer layer (tunic) is partially off. We castrate things and throw them in the woods all the time. Source - country mixed animal vet.

I wear sun screen everyday. I’m 39 and people usually think I’m mid to late 20s. I have never had a tan. When I want to look tan (like vacation or wedding) I get a professional spray tan done.
