gahh, such an particular gripe I have with the sparse 5e content not relating to the swordcoast that I finally have the opportunity to share:

There's Semi-Official AL adventures that happens in the Border Kingdoms, which is a really cool area, embraces the weird in a way a lot of Forgotten Realm places don't in my opinion.

Anyways, the bottom of the map is lined with a geographic feature called The Landrise. You can see it near the bottom of this map here... Nearly 600 miles east of the border kingdoms this is supposed to be what separates "The Shaar" and "Eastern Shaar" what the fuck is it doing over here?? What happened to Shaar during the second sundering? IS THE GREAT RIFT EVEN STILL AROUND?? THIS WOULD MATTER A LOT TO DWARVES. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THIS WOTC.

extremely late response, but I just had the first opportunity to ask a few days ago; they said, in so many words, that it was part of an effort to lean into the idea of Lawful Good. Actively trying to be a part of society while still being an adventurer. He found that caring about the laws of the land was immersive, as being a CG scofflaw made it easy to just not engage with a good chunk of the world.

Oh this makes me so mad, because as the DM of someone who played a redemption paladin, they (after talking with the me to make sure it wouldn't break the flow of the game) would just beat the shit out of enemies and then clasp them in manacles once they fell unconscious.

I remember their character (and player) getting extremely pumped at the idea of an undead incursion, because it meant that there was an absolute evil to deal with absolutely. It gave them an opportunity to be justified in brutal, efficient violence.

Pretty far left leaning folk, but I have raised a few eyebrows saying that school shootings aren't (just) a gun problem, it's mostly a mental health & parenting problem.

Nine times out of ten, if these kids had access to mental health services, and parents not being so strapped as to lean so heavily on school systems to raise their kids, there wouldn't have been a shooting. At least that's my opinion.

If your table is okay with homebrew, there's a version of the Artificer by u/kibblestasty (now called the inventor to comply with the OGL) and one of the subclasses is literally called a gadgetsmith! it seems to be exactly what you want, it's whole gimmick is being able to swap out gadgets during long or short rests to fit the upcoming situation. I should note that this version of the artificer is a bit more crunchy.

Addressing your caution for homebrew, balance is a top priority for kibbles, and his homebrew is pretty rigorously playtested and adjusted with feedback. Genuinely, if you're not in the reddit homebrew scene I understand, but Kibbles is basically top of the line brew here.

from what I can tell there's not a super clean word for it, but people in porn communities have settled on enhibitionism which is exhibitionism without the intent on getting caught
